To our wonderful patrons and community,
We want to extend our heartfelt gratitude for all the support, patience, and kind words you’ve shown us over the past month.
We are incredibly proud of our team members—Bob, Ashil, Noah, Anna, and our support staff—who are currently away assisting with the wildfire efforts plaguing our province. To our team in Cache Creek: We are so ridiculously proud of you!
They are working grueling, long hours feeding up to 800 firefighters a day at the single largest fire camp in BC history. Hearing the heartbreaking yet deeply touching stories of loss, determination, and perseverance from the front lines has moved us beyond words.
At the same time, we want to recognize our incredible local team—Johnny, Alex, Chris, Emma, Jenn, Melissa, and all of our wonderful front-of-house serving staff—along with co-owner Tamara Bedard, and daughter Aja Bedard who have been managing all our operations here at home to hold down the fort. Everyone is exhausted and running on empty as we operate stretched thin, but their dedication has kept our doors open.
We also extend a huge thank you to Desert Hills Ranch in Cache Creek, BC, and their staff for being so accommodating, organizing our huge orders with fantastic service, and supplying fresh local produce for the crews we’re feeding. It is truly wonderful to be able to support another incredible local business during times like these.
Because the wildfires are still raging with no clear end date in sight, we need to adjust our operations. September is traditionally a quieter time for us as everyone transitions back to work and school, so we will be modifying our hours for the month to give our team a breather.
September Schedule Updates:
Dinner service only
Monday, August 24: CLOSED all day to allow our exhausted staff a much-needed reset.
Mondays: 4:00 PM – 8:00 PM
Tuesday to Saturday: 4:00 PM – 9:00 PM
Sundays: Closed
We sincerely apologize for any disruption this temporary change causes to your routines, and we appreciate your understanding.
Thank you again, {if you have read this far} to our community for your ongoing support, to the BC Wildfire Service workers fighting tirelessly on the front lines, and to owner Bob Bedard for his incredible feats of culinary marvel alongside his entire kitchen team—both away in Cache Creek, BC, and here at home at The Mill Pub.
To all of our patrons: we truly appreciate your business and couldn’t do this without you.
Stay safe,
The Mill Pub Team
