September 30th is a day I have a hard time with as an Indigenous business owner.
I do not call it a holiday, yet I do believe it is a day worth celebrating and acknowledging.

It is a day that sparked change and awareness.
A day that opened conversations, encouraged compassion and empathy.
A day that continues to remind us of the importance of listening, learning, healing, reflecting, and growing.

For me, movement is healing, and so is sport.
So on September 30th, Swingsmith Cages will be open from 12 PM–9 PM, creating a space to move, connect, reflect, and spend time together.

🧡 The first batting-cage token is on us for all Indigenous people.
No big message. No expectations. Just an opportunity to come in, swing a bat, move your body, and take a little time for yourself.

Do you love baseball, enjoy cooking, and prefer working independently?

Swingsmith Cages is looking for a reliable, motivated team member to join our crew full-time!

What we're looking for:
✅ Baseball enthusiast
✅ Kitchen experience and a passion for cooking
✅ Comfortable working alone and staying productive
✅ Able to climb ladders and perform light maintenance tasks
✅ Self-motivated with strong attention to detail
✅ Looking for long-term employment, not just a seasonal job

What you'll be doing:
🍕 Preparing and serving food
⚾ Assisting with batting cage operations
🧹 General facility upkeep and cleaning
📦 Stocking inventory and handling daily tasks independently
😊 Creating a great experience for our customers
