We are a cash only bistro located at the Royal Canadian Legion branch 164, in Powell River. Our food is baked never deep fried, but you wouldn’t be able to tell the difference! Our state of the art Rational(tm) convection oven offers the same great taste as a deep fryer, which in turn makes Sunset Bistro a great place for a healthier alternative for your favourite foods! Good Afternoon! Chef Will here. A few updates regarding the RCL br 164 kitchen, the Sunset Bistro.

I am leaving the Sunset Bistro as of end of day, Thursday the 16th. I first want to thank everyone who has come by to try our amazing food during my time here. It has been a fun journey, and a pleasure to serve you all. 🙇‍♂️

🕰️ Our kitchen hours for the rest of the week are From 12-7pm, no split from 2-4 this week.

We are going to be shutting the kitchen down for 2 weeks for annual maintenance, starting on March 17th and Sunset Bistro will be open again on April 3rd 2023.

This Friday RCL br. 164 is hosting a St Patrick’s day event with Dennis and the menaces 🍀 - as well as offering a burger and chips for $10. Event tickets are $20 for members and $25 for non members. 🎸

On another note, RCL br. 164 is always looking for volunteers to help out with various tasks and events. If you are interested please come down to the branch and sign up. 🙌 you do not need to be a member to volunteer and it is always appreciated ❤️

I hope to see some of our regulars, friends and members during my final few days here, and as always we hope see you soon. 🍻

Good evening, Everyone.

Due to our current structure changes, unfortunately we are not going to be doing any more daily specials besides our soup and sandwich of the day, until further notice. This includes our popular Wing Wednesday special, and our Friday night dinner features we had started at the beginning of this year. We realize this is a major inconvenience for most of our patrons, and we are sorry, unfortunately this decision is out of our hands (sunset bistro itself). We hope you all continue to come enjoy the food we do have available, and that we can hopefully in the summer being back our specials and other great ideas.

Also the legion it self has meat draws and50/50 draws don’t miss a thing

Hello and good morning.

There will be a Super Bowl viewing party in the upstairs lounge of Royal Canadian Legion Branch #164 Powell River starting at 12pm today.
Sunset Bistro is CLOSED today.

There will be Chili and a bun available for $5 at the legion during today’s events.

Meat draws are also cancelled for today.

Today we are open 12 to 6

Specials are a crispy chicken bacon burger with fries 16 dollars

Soup and sandwich is 12 for split pea and roast beef sandwich

Also just a reminder bistro is closed tomorrow but the legion will have chilli for 5 dollars a bowl for super bowl

Good evening everyone

I wanted to take a minute and thank everyone for coming out tonight and for eveyone s understanding and patience as we can only cook so much so fast. We are trying new things and a lot of change.

And a huge thank you for my serving volunteer Janet you were a huge help on a busy night.

If anyone wants to help out and volunteer please come down to the legion and check it out.

Good afternoon!

Today for our lunch special (12-2pm) we have a chicken Caesar wrap for $14, with a side.

Soup of the day is Split pea & ham, and our sandwich of the day is a Roast beef & Cheese (with lettuce tomato mayo and mustard)

Today’s dinner special (5-7pm) is Chicken Parmesan with Mushroom Scallop potatoes and Steamed Vegetables for $18! Limited in supply, come get yours while you can!

Good afternoon

Today we have the mozza mushroom burger and fries on for 16 dollars sub rings for extra 2 dollars

I have a couple bowls of broccoli cheddar left as it sold faster then I could post lol and a
corn chowder separately is 7 dollars.
Together with a BLT is 12
BLT is 7 alone

Please remember we are closed from 2 till 4 week days.

Good afternoon!

Today’s special is a Chipotle Mozza Burger for $15, Chipotle Ranch sauce, Bacon, Crispy onions and lettuce. With fries or green salad, and you can upgrade to Rings or Caesar salad or $2 more!

Our soup of the day is Chicken Noodle, paired with our sandwich of the day, a CLT (cheese, lettuce tomato) for $12, or the soup for $7 / Sandwich for $6 separately.
