Fleur-de-Lis Tea Room and Dining Room Locally Owned and Locally Operated Family Restaurant

We have been open since 2003 and have maintained our original mandate to serve a wide variety of healthy affordable food options to the people of our community and locality. We do not own, or will ever own or operate a deep-fryer, and the wide majority of our menu items are home-cooked and home-made. We serve all-day breakfast, we serve lunches, we serve Dinner entrees, we do take-out and cater to functions and meetings large and small... we have experience doing weddings, dinner theaters, and other larger 3+ course venues; we strive to support and buy local produce and local companies so that every dollar that is spent at our establishment stays in our communities and province. Today, the Fleur de Lis team pauses to reflect, remember, and learn.

On National Day for Truth and Reconciliation, we honour the children who never returned home, the Survivors of residential schools, their families, and communities who continue to carry the impact of this painful history.

We believe reconciliation begins with listening, learning, understanding, and taking meaningful steps forward together.

As a business in the community of Port Hawkesbury, we are grateful to live, work, and gather on Mi’kma’ki, the ancestral and unceded territory of the Mi’kmaq people. We are committed to continuing to learn and to showing respect for the Mi’kmaq people, culture, history, and traditions.

Today, we remember.
