Today we’re serving up a big, hearty bowl of our mouthwatering Bison Chili, made with delicious local bison from Double R Meats, right across the street! ❤️

We load our chili with:

Our farm fresh eggs at Steampunk Cafe are fully restocked! ❤️

There’s just something special about farm fresh eggs, and if you’ve ever cracked one open beside a store-bought egg, you may have noticed the difference.

🌿 So, what makes farm fresh eggs different?

🥚 The yolk: Farm fresh eggs often have a beautiful, rich golden-yellow or orange yolk, depending on what the hens are eating.

🥚 The whites: Fresh eggs tend to have thicker, firmer whites that hold their shape better when cracked into the pan.

🥚 Freshness: Eggs purchased directly from a local farm can make their way from the hen to your kitchen much more quickly than many commercial eggs, which may have spent more time in the distribution chain.

🥰 There’s something truly special about living in a small town and knowing your neighbours.

One of our amazing neighbours is right across the street — Double R Meats! We absolutely love having them so close and appreciate the convenience, quality, and support they bring to our community. ❤️

We proudly use their delicious pepperoni in our famous pepperoni cheese sticks, their amazing bacon in our breakfast sandwiches, and today we picked up some incredible beef for a big, comforting pot of beef noodle soup loaded with veggies. 🍲

Thank you, Double R Meats, for always supporting us, for always having our backs, and for being such an important part of our community.

Small town connections are the best. ❤️

🍂✨ Something NEW from our bakery today! ✨🍂

Today we skipped the gluten-free muffins and created something extra special… our Gluten-Free Fall Harvest Cake! 🍰

This one is packed full of all the cozy flavours of fall — rich pumpkin, crunchy pumpkin seeds, pecans, fresh carrot, apple, and creamy white chocolate. It truly has a little bit of everything!

And to make it even better, we topped it with a rich, dreamy cream cheese icing that takes it to a whole new level. 🤤

We have two special events happening at the cafe this Monday, and we wanted to share them with you. ❤️

First up — our Men’s Cancer Survivor Group at 9:30 a.m. in the boardroom.

If you are a man who has survived cancer, or you are currently going through your cancer journey, this is an opportunity to connect with some truly wonderful men, share stories, have conversations, and find support in a welcoming environment.

Then, in the evening at 6:00 p.m., we are hosting a School Board Trustee Meet & Greet.

Come on in, grab a coffee, take a seat, and meet the candidates running for School Board Trustee in this year’s election. This is your chance to listen, connect, and ask the important questions.

If you have children in school, grandchildren in school, or simply care about the future of education in our community, this is the perfect opportunity to get involved and have your voice heard.
