We've started adding some micro lot beans to our lineup!
Introducing the Costa Rican white honey micro lot!
Grown at Finca V&G San Juanillo in Costa Rica, Alajuela, Naranjo, San Juanillo, at an elevation of 1500m, white honey process and sun-dried on raised beds at Patalillo Mill and farmed by Guillermo Lopez.
White honey processed coffee is a type of coffee that is dried with a thin layer of mucilage on the surface, resulting in a coffee with a delicate honey flavor.
Finca V&G San Juanillo is the brainchild of an agronomist and an industrial engineer, Tomas Gutierrez and Allan Vargas, respectively, who shared a vision for this 4 hec farm when they bought it in 2007. The initial focus has been on experimentation with hybrid varieties that have been developed by the Coffee Research Institute of Costa Rica. These hybrids look to take the best qualities from different varieties - improving cup quality, yield, and resistance to disease.
We love the honey lots from this special farm. You will experience cherry, full body, lemon tea finish, malt, juicy body, milky caramel, and stone fruit.
Available in whole beans, light roast at Dog Mountain Brewing.
