Our Story
Looking for a bite to eat, some local music and a frosty pint? Well you’ve come to the right place!
History
Our story began in the 19th century, when the land on which The Three Sisters is located was owned by merchant James E. Croucher and from 1883 to the mid 1900’s the building itself changed hands many times, though always remained a family home. The sale of the house to Isabel Byrne in the mid 1900’s resulted in the first commercial use of the premises with the opening of a store, a store which became widely known in the region as Belle Byrne’s Store. In 1997, the property was purchased by Ernest and Geraldine Kelly who undertook extensive renovations of the property to re-purpose the building as a restaurant! In a nod to the building’s most recent heritage, the operation was named Belle’s Restaurant and ran successfully for many years.
After further renovation The Three Sisters Pub and Restaurant opened in December 2009. The Three Sisters has quickly become a local favorite and a popular destination for visitors to the area. Meet with a few local folks at the bar or sit next to visitors from all over the world while you enjoy the local music, soak up the atmosphere and feel the history.
