From our family to yours. ❤️We wanted to pop on here, say hi, and send a whole lot of love to our community right now.

To our regulars who continue to walk through our doors, our friends who share our posts and tell people to come see us, and everyone who continues to rally around small local businesses…thank you! It means more than you probably realize.

And to everyone impacted by the Summerland fires, we are sending you the biggest hug. Our hearts are with the families, farmers, businesses and everyone in our community navigating so much uncertainty right now.

For those of you who haven’t met us yet, this is us. We really are the family (Kin) and the friends (Folk) behind Kin & Folk. ❤️( Mack, Gabriella, Dani and Zac)

We feel incredibly lucky to call the Okanagan home, to raise our kids here, to operate our restaurants here, and to be surrounded by a community that continues to show up for one another when it matters most.

Summer and tourism have such a huge impact on small businesses like ours and so many others throughout the Okanagan. Right now, showing up locally matters so much. Eat at your favourite places. Buy Okanagan fruit and veggies directly from our farmers and fruit stands. Visit a winery, cidery or brewery. Grab a coffee. Shop at a small business every chance you get. Make a donation if you’re able. Share a local business with a friend. Check in on your neighbours.

There are so many small ways we can keep showing up for each other, and together they make a really big difference.

We’re launching a special feature dish in support of our friend Thomas from LocalMotive Organic Delivery.

We’ve had the privilege of working closely with Thomas and LocalMotive Organic Delivery , and as many of you know, he has experienced an unimaginable loss from the recent Summerland wildfires.

For this feature, we’re working with the vegetables Thomas was able to harvest from the farm, creating a dish that celebrates what he grew while helping support him through what comes next.

100% of the proceeds from this feature dish will be donated directly to Thomas and LocalMotive Organic Delivery

We hope you’ll come in, enjoy something special, support a local farmer, and help us give back to someone who has given so much to our local community. ❤️

There is so much heartbreak in our community right now, and we will be here to support in any way we possibly can. Our doors are open for anyone who needs a place to gather, take a minute, or simply be together. ❤️

Our hearts are with everyone impacted by the wildfires, the families facing uncertainty, those who have had to leave their homes, and everyone carrying the weight of what’s happening around us.

We are incredibly grateful for our firefighters, first responders, volunteers, local businesses, and community members who continue to show up for one another.

Our team is on standby and ready to jump in wherever we can. Please reach out if you, your family, or someone in our community needs anything. We’re here.
