🌿 How to make a killer stir-fry at home🥢
Back for another addition of "Make it at Home (But its Easier to Come to Trees)"
🔪Once you get into cooking at home, it's absolutely amazing how few things you'll ever buy again. Let's start with making a Chicken Stir-fry!! 🥡 (Teryaki recipe pinned in comments)
We use:
1 chicken breast (5 ounce)
1/2 each red, green, yellow and orange bell peppers
1/4 of a red onion
1/4 of a carrot
2 ribs celery
5 or 6 mushrooms
✨️
1️⃣ thinly slice all the vegetables and set aside
2️⃣ Season the chicken with salt and pepper. Heat a pan on high until hot. Sear the chicken, in a bit of oil, on each side for 30 seconds, or until browned. Remove and set aside
3️⃣ In the same pan (while its still hot) add a bit more oil and all the vegetables. Here's the trick: shake the pan once, and leave it alone. To mimic the flavors of a wok, you need your vegetables to sit in a smoking hot pan only tossing it once every 20-30 seconds. Let it color, but don't let it burn
4️⃣ Slice the chicken (warning: it should still be uncooked in the middle) and add back to the vegetables along with any juices from the chicken (still on high heat!)
5️⃣ If things start to brown up on the bottom of the pan (flavor!), add a little water and shake the pan. Then, add your teryaki to your liking, but remember, 'you can add more sauce later, but you can't take it away'
6️⃣ Serve with rice, garnish with sesame seeds and green onion
7️⃣ Enjoy!!
