Dog Eared is a turn of phrase that makes us think of something well loved — adored to the point it wears the lover’s finger prints on its skin — leaving an impression, permanent and fond. DOG-EARED CAFÉ has been conceived of in the tradition of European cafe models of old to provide an atmosphere in which art, literature, activism, and conversation are paramount, taking precedence over long lines,

impatient baristas, and uncomfortable seating designed to discourage long stays. It’s a comfortable couch and a good book; a warm, carefully crafted coffee drink cupped in our hands, sipped slow to wash down a rich treat savoured. Located in historic downtown Paris, Ontario with a picturesque view of the Grand River, DOG-EARED CAFÉ serves perfected crafted espresso drinks, delectable baked goods, fresh sandwiches, and offers a diverse selection of well-loved books in all genres to peruse while enjoying a really, really good cup of coffee.

Oh, Yes! Dog-Eared Café is looking for the right amazingly charming, kind, and hard working individuals to join our team!
What we’re looking for:
-Weekend availability
-Smart Serve and Food Handler certification (or willingness to obtain certification within two weeks of hiring)
-A desire to ensure guests have an amazing experience.
-A “Teamwork makes the dream work!” mentality.
-We hire people, not positions, so no experience is necessarily necessary. We’re more than willing to train the right candidate.
