This week’s Cheese of the Week: Stilton! 🧀🇬🇧
Stilton, often called the “King of English Cheeses,” is one of Britain’s most celebrated blue cheeses, protected by PDO status, traditionally crafted in Derbyshire, Leicestershire, and Nottinghamshire. Made from pasteurized cow’s milk, it has a rich ivory paste laced with striking blue-green veining that develops as the cheese matures. Stilton is semi-soft yet crumbly, with a luxuriously creamy texture that melts on the palate. Its flavor is bold and complex—earthy, tangy, and savory, with a subtle nuttiness and a lingering, slightly sweet finish. A classic partner to port w**e, Stilton also pairs beautifully with robust reds, crisp ciders, or just a drizzle of honey.
Come try a sample and enjoy 25% off this classic British cheese all week in Owen Sound, Port Elgin, or Meaford.
