Let’s spend your Sunday the way prairie summers were probably meant to be spent.

You drive out thinking you’ll stay for one glass.
Then the sun starts dropping into the valley.
Someone orders another round.
Someone else says, “we should probably head out soon,” but nobody moves.

The patio gets quieter.
The river keeps doing its thing.
