Farewell, Thank You and Goodbye Ottawa…

For 41 years we have been your fish & seafood house, we have hosted your weddings, birthdays, family gatherings, date night and just your friend’s night out. Our little group of restaurants down in the Byward Market encompass The Fish Market Restaurant, Coasters Seafood Grill and Vineyards Wine Bar Bistro. Like so many others, the Covid-19 Virus closure has devastated our business. We are unable to recover and will not re-open our beloved three restaurants. With a broken heart we are closing our doors of more than four decades and as one of the very first restaurants in the Byward Market. We will miss serving you beautiful fish meals and wine, we will miss our staff and management team and we will miss the market!

May you all keep us in your fondest memories as an institution of the Byward Market, and may you all stay safe and healthy.

Hello out there... we just wanted to send hugs and well wishes to everyone ! We miss our awesome staff, guests, suppliers and daily routines....but we shall remain home and do our part in staying safe. Happy Friday!

With the arrival of the off-season we'd like to announce that Coasters Gourmet Grill Ottawa​ will be closed until Spring.

However, all your favourite Coasters meals (including Lobster Grilled Cheese & our tasty Fishwich) will be available at The Fish Market Restaurant​ right below us!

And Vineyards Wine Bar and Bistro Ottawa​ has live music every Tuesday, Wednesday and Sunday so we will still offer that great live music that you've been seeing at Coasters!

So, come on down to the ByWard Market​ as you gear up for the holidays! See you soon!
