Dear Ciao Amici family,

Thank you for the kindness and patience you’ve shown us during our closure. We stepped away to spend time with family and to grieve the loss of both of Aki’s parents. Your understanding has meant more to us than we can say.

We’ve received many catering requests for October, November, and December. We’re happy to share that Ciao Amici will reopen for our regular scheduled business on November 2. There will be some days when we need to close to the public to prepare for or serve catering events, and we’ll share those dates with you as early as we can.

We know many of you have been waiting to visit us again, and we’re so grateful for your continued support. We miss seeing you and look forward to welcoming you back soon.

If you have an event coming up, please reach out to us about catering. We would be honoured to be part of it.

With heavy hearts, we share the passing of Aki’s beloved mother on July 29.

After a long and courageous battle with cancer, she passed away peacefully, surrounded by the love of her family. She fought with incredible bravery, strength, and dignity until the very end. Through every challenge, she remained our inspiration.

What made her truly extraordinary was her selflessness. Even while fighting the hardest battle of her life, her greatest concern was always everyone else’s well-being. And even in her final moments, if you asked her how she was feeling, her answer was always the same: “I’m good.” Those simple words reflected the remarkable woman she was—strong, caring, and always putting others before herself.

Her love, kindness, resilience, and unwavering spirit have left an imprint on all of our hearts. We are forever grateful for every moment we shared with her, and we will carry her memory with us always.

Rest in peace, Mom. We love you more than words can ever express, and we will miss you every single day. Your strength, your love, and your beautiful spirit will live on in all of us.
