The best water temperature for pour over and drip coffee is 195 to 205°F (86 to 96°C).
Too hot burns the coffee and pulls out bitterness and ash. Too cold can’t extract enough, so your cup tastes flat or sour.
No thermometer? Boil the water, then wait 30 seconds off the heat. That drops it right into the sweet spot.
Your ratio matters. Your grind matters. But temperature quietly decides everything else.
Try it with our Guatemala Huehuetenango, great for drip. Fresh roasted at queenbean.ca (link in bio). Save this for your next brew ☕
