It’s been awhile since I posted... after the traumatizing experience the community went through yesterday, I want to express my care, gratitude and love for Lynn Valley.
I hadn’t ever been in Lynn Valley before I got my job at the old location on Ross Road, so I saw it for the first time just over 4 years ago. This place truly is a community- I adore the kids here, they are a fun, polite, and sociable bunch of children and adolescents, with good families who’ve raised them. It’s great to meet the long term residents of Lynn Valley, learning the community feel is what you have created and maintained from your childhood to your grandchildren’s. Outdoor enthusiasts teaching me about places and things to do I later tell tourists about. Beautiful gardens and yards, parks and rivers. The invitations you’ve offered me in laughs and friendships... I am so appreciative and grateful for this beautifully welcoming and strong community. I know that we will come together to grieve and heal.
Words cannot express my sorrow about the tragedy yesterday. Know that all of us at the Starbucks are with you.

As the weather changes, transporting basic necessities up north needs a plane ticket. Know how much tampons plane ticket costs? Enough to make an average box of tampons cost between $30 and $50!! A partner at another store has started gathering supplies and cash for postage and to purchase more hygiene products. Can you donate too?
