SPELLBOUND // Lychee, kiwi, cherry cola, and rose.

Our favourite mad scientist, Wilton Benitez, took this Striped Bourbon through an advanced fermentation with koji and a thermal shock, and somehow came out the other side with a coffee brighter than a full moon and clearer than a crisp October sky. Expect a burst of lychee, kiwi, and cherry cola with a whisper of rose. Sweet, but not in a sugar-high Halloween candy way. Think of it as a grown-up trick-or-treat.

WARM SHADOW // This Nicaragua Washed is named Warm Shadow for two reasons.
1. The tasting notes give you that warm hug at first sip.
2. The maracaturra variety is HUGE! Beans so big they might just cast a shadow.

SPELLBOUND // The only thing spooky about Spellbound is how limited it is! 🎃 Spellbound is a beautiful and bright Striped Bourbon from Wilton Benitez, processed through advanced fermentation with koji and a thermal shock. It’s prominent notes of lychee, kiwi, and cherry cola bring a burst of sweetness, but not in that sugar-high Halloween candy sense. Consider it your own grown-up trick-or-treat this Halloween.

WARM SHADOW // Rhubarb, marzipan, and apple c***r.

Consider this your official welcome to fall. Warm Shadow shows up like a heavyweight hug on the first cold morning of the season, and the Maracaturra variety is a big reason why. Literally. A natural hybrid of Maragogipe and Caturra, it inherits some of the largest beans in the coffee world, and more mass means more complexity in the cup. Expect warm rhubarb, marzipan, and apple c***r waiting at the bottom of the mug.

FUNK Coffee Kitsilano Hours // It’s been such an honour to be a part of the Kitsilano community this Summer and Fall at The Caretaker and Batch. We were here for a short time, but was it ever a good time. With the weather cooling down and the sun setting earlier, we have new FINAL hours for the community:
