Well, we survived another storm. Only loss was sleep.
We are closed today,September 6th, and will return on Thursday, September 10th.

Special thank you to the guests who were beyond patient during lastnight's outage and stayed to "Dine in the Dark" as Jason and I cooked by headlamp.
Extra special thank you to my teammate Jason for toughing it out and helping me get generator hooked up to fridges and freezers and Mom and Dave for allowing me to borrow said generator.

We hope you all are okay and damages weren't too much.

We have some beautiful and very local High Bush Blueberries for dessert tonight.
After a gentle washing, they will be cooked out with sugar and vanilla and poured atop freshly baked puff pastry and whipped cream.

Can't wait to see all of our "MADE BY PHONE ONLY" reservations tonight.

It has been brought to our attention from a few disappointed travellers, and one local, of a third party reservation site taking credit card info to hold our tables.

WE DO NOT, OR EVER WILL, SUPPORT THIRD PARTY BOOKING SITES.
WE BOOK BY PHONE ONLY AND HAVE NEVER ASKED FOR DEPOSITS😐

This page, pictured below, has copied our photos and info and will ask for your credit card info to hold a table. This is not us.

We are now in the process of having our business removed but believe this is an AI generated site and it may be difficult.

Our apologies, but we had no idea this was happening until recently.

In addition to regular menu tonight, we will have......
"Fresh Halibut"
Char broiled and poached in butter. Choice starch and grilled veggies.

Dessert addition will be (as seen below)......
"Housemade Apple Turnovers" with our own caramel and real whipped cream.

Busy weekend with the "Cape Breton Farmers Exhibition" happening so tables are limited.

Today with our berries from Rendell's Farm , we made a dine in dessert feature.....

Hey there happy Pound People.

We are now booked for July 9th, 10th and 11th and on Sunday we will be closed but offering takeout special. Special will be posted Sunday morning for you.

Also, lobster season is coming to an end and dine in menu changes are in the near future.

Thank you to all who have supported our little eatery and we look forward to cooking for you soon.

Reminder the restaurant is closed today but the Rendell's Farm U-Pick in Groves Point is open at 7am.
Made it to the fields a few minutes after opening and picked 17lbs in 20 minutes or so.

P.S : Leslie helped by taking my picture but picked ZERO berries.

For our dine-in guests, mum and I picked some pre season berries for you.
These berries are a trial variety from a special greenhouse at Rendell's Farm.
For the rest of you jam pickers, shortcake bakers and lovers of the berry, the U-Pick in Groves Point will be opening next week. The keeper of the fields told me we can plan on seeing up to 5 varieties over the season.
