The owner Trevor Smyth meticulously rebuilt the pub. Having its entire contents shipped from Ireland. Irish craftsmen lovingly rebuilt the pub which opened in 2006 and has established itself as a Niagara on the Lake landmark destination.

Special ticketed event · Tickets from $15 per person

Most nights you catch the Lemons as a three-piece. This time it’s the whole band on one stage, with the big harmonies and rough-and-tumble rock n’ roll they’re known for. Community seating is $15 per person, and table reservations start at $30 for a table of two. Tickets are charged upon booking, space is limited, and it’s a 19+ event.

We’re celebrating Halloween the Irish way. Samhain is where costumes and carved lanterns come from, so we’ve planned live music all three days.

Friday: Irish costume party, with live music at 8:30 from Patsy & The Muscle and prizes for Best Irish Costume, Best Irish Couple and Most Creative Irish Costume.

Saturday: Halloween Bash, with live music at 8:30 from Jack Van Ginger and prizes for Best Costume and Best Couple Costume.

Sunday: Samhain traditions from 2 pm, with Hadley & Walker playing live, specialty hot beverages and hearty Irish favourites.

We’re open from 11 am all weekend, and costumes are welcome all day. Reservations are recommended, so book online, call 905-468-4443 EXT 3, or email [email protected] with your date, party size and phone number.

Fort George experts Dan Laroche and Peter Martin bring historic weapons from the War of 1812 to see up close, from familiar muskets and swords to the more unusual arms used by cavalry, sailors and First Nations warriors. Then you can put your knowledge to the test in a live trivia challenge, with prizes. It’s presented with Fort George, Parks Canada and the Friends of Fort George, and it follows A Pint of History at 7 pm if you want to make a night of it.

Join The Tattooed Historian and the Niagara-on-the-Lake Museum for an evening of famous final words, from writers and soldiers to monarchs and everyday people, along with a look at the carved epitaphs people left behind. Then you’ll get the chance to write an epitaph of your own, serious or otherwise.

Historian Sara Nixon and John Heckman, The Tattooed Historian, tell the story of Jenny O’Hara Pincock, a St. Catharines spiritualist whose séances captured a region trying to make sense of a fast-changing century. It’s about 90 minutes of storytelling and Q&A, with a little chill for the season. There’s no live séance, just the real history.
