MAYA RITCHIE (Niagara Falls)
Pulling from emotional artists like Radiohead and Adele, Maya Ritchie blends soft vocals with intimate storytelling and lyrics. With the release of her debut album Rumination (June 13, 2025), Maya has quickly captured the attention of listeners drawn to her vulnerability and lush tones.
ANGELA BEGIN (Montreal/Edmonton)
Based between Montreal & Edmonton, Canadian singer-songwriter and radio host Angela Begin creates music reflective of the lands, winds, waters and skies that raised her. Her songs are inspired by the natural world and the themes of spaciousness, temporality and transformation. Angela's music is an ethereal and eclectic blend of indie-folk and alternative-rock with detours into country, grunge, jazz-folk and shoegaze, often compared to Allegra Krieger, Daughter, Mini Trees & Mitski. Angela is the host of The Spacious Astrology Playlist at CJLO in Montreal and a member of the CARBON (Community of Artists Researching the Beinghood of Nature) artist collective. Her singles 'Rose Up' & 'Coquihalla' have been featured by CBC, Folk Canada & Tongue Tied Magazine, and her debut album ‘Messenger’ will be released in Summer 2026.
BOBBY TARIAN (Edmonton)
Bobby draws on the expansive landscapes and golden-hued prairie sunsets of his home province of Alberta for inspiration – whether weaved into candid lyrics or embodied through the ethereal melodies. Bobby pushes the boundaries of folk music by incorporating synths, manipulating found sound, and employs a palette of effects to achieve a sound like out of a dream. Pulling from a decade of experience with classical guitar, Bobby favors intricate fingerpicking techniques along with layered observational lyricism to explore vulnerability, societal issues, introspection, and emotional well-being.
