From the Skylon Tower Observation Deck, 775 feet above Niagara Falls, you can take in the illuminated Falls and the Fallsview skyline all in one incredible view.

Congratulations to the Niagara Falls Fire Department’s 2026 Recruit Class! ❤️

Skylon Tower has 660 stairs, and these recruits took them on in pairs, with each twosome climbing up four times as part of their Stair Climb to Remember.

Congratulations on completing an incredible challenge, and thank you for choosing Skylon Tower for such a meaningful event. We were honoured to be part of it.

The climb honoured the first responders of September 11, 2001, while raising funds for Project SHARE and Niagara Health Foundation.

The recruit class of six new firefighters took turns climbing the 660 stairs to the top of the Skylon Tower to honour the lives lost in the 9/11 terror attacks raise funds for local charities.

Stair Climb to Remember

Today, we were honoured to welcome the Niagara Falls Professional Fire Fighters Class to Skylon Tower for their Stair Climb to Remember, marking the 25th anniversary of September 11, 2001.

The recruits took on the climb in remembrance of the first responders of September 11, while also raising funds in support of Project SHARE and Niagara Health Foundation. ❤️

Those wishing to support their fundraising efforts can donate by e-transfer to [email protected].

Joining today’s event were Niagara Falls MPP Wayne Gates, Mayor Jim Diodati, Regional Councillor Joyce Morocco, and City of Niagara Falls Councillors Lori Lococo and Mona Patel, along with members of the Niagara Falls Fire Department, Niagara Falls Professional Fire Fighters Association and community supporters.
