The debate didn’t last too long… Nanaimo took the cake 👀 Hazelnut spread, coconut and custard. BC, did we get it right?

We tested a few versions first, and once the cake and icing started falling apart, keeping the slice whole just made the most sense 👀 A super-moist cake and silky icing? Honestly, a pretty good problem to have.
On a testé plusieurs versions d’abord, et dès que le gâteau et le glaçage commençaient à se défaire, garder la tranche entière s’est imposé 👀 Un gâteau ultra moelleux et un glaçage bien onctueux? Franchement, pas pire comme problème.

Our dough has been the same recipe and weight since 1978 👀 Every BeaverTails pastry is stretched by hand, so they won’t all come out looking exactly the same! A little individuality never hurt anyone.
Nous utilisons la même recette et le même poids depuis 1978 👀 Chaque pâtisserie Queues de Castor est étirée à la main, donc elles ne sortiront pas toutes exactement pareilles! Un peu d’individualité n’a jamais fait de mal à personne.

Canada has pride. So do its provinces. When we wondered which flavour could best represent Ontario, butter tarts felt like the obvious choice. So we recreated them on a BeaverTails pastry with sugar cream, pecans and pie crust. Ontario, would you have chosen differently? What flavour represents you best? 👀
Le Canada est fier. Ses provinces aussi. Quand on s’est demandé quelle saveur pouvait le mieux représenter l’Ontario, la tarte au beurre s’est imposée. On l’a donc recréée sur une pâtisserie Queues de Castor avec de la crème au sucre, des pacanes et de la pâte à tarte. Ontario, auriez-vous fait un autre choix? Quelle saveur vous représente le mieux? 👀
