Made my way out to (RAD Torque Raceway) for (Border Warz) and had the chance to meet some awesome people, including (Shaun Umscheid), (Justin Nunley), (Leroy & Leroy), and (Julie Umscheid).

I also dropped off a couple bags of Smoky Oak BBQ pulled pork for Shaun and Justin and their teams to try. No expectations, no business pitch — just sharing some Alberta BBQ with a couple creators whose content has provided a lot of laughs and entertainment.

One thing I really appreciated was how genuine everyone was. Whether it was taking a quick photo, chatting for a few minutes, or just hanging out around the pits, everyone was incredibly welcoming.

And if you’ve never seen these cars up close, they’re every bit as wild as you’d expect.

The smoked pork in the Smoky Oak Pineapple Sour at Sturgeon Brewing came from Smoky Oak BBQ.

The smoked pulled pork in the tacos from Panchita’s came from Smoky Oak BBQ too.

Tomorrow we’re celebrating this collaboration with FREE pulled pork tacos at Sturgeon Brewing starting at 1:00 PM… While supplies last.

Wow, what an amazing week this has been!

From hosting a BBQ in support of the Jessica Martel Memorial Foundation, to doing a collaboration with Sturgeon Brewing Company and having a beer with the Smoky Oak name on it, to these wicked awesome hats that I just received from The Design Lady…. 😊

Yesterday’s BBQ fundraiser in support of the Jessica Martel Memorial Foundation was a success, with $620.00 being raised for the foundation!

Good morning everyone — rain or shine, the BBQ is officially on!

We got the smokers rolling early this morning and the smell out here is unreal already.

Just a reminder — you do not need to stand outside waiting in the weather. We’ve got indoor space available, so you can stay warm and dry while we keep the smoke flowing outside.

Pulled pork is cooking, smokers are loaded, and we’ll be serving fresh BBQ later today in support of the Jessica Martel Memorial Foundation
