🍳 WE'RE HIRING LINE COOKS 🍳

My Chosen Cafe is looking for two Full-Time Line Cooks to join our team. These positions can be either permanent or seasonal for the summer.

$23–$25 per hour + gratuities

We're seeking experienced cooks who are comfortable working in a fast-paced kitchen environment and can confidently manage their own station while working as part of a strong team. We stay busy from open to close, so the ability to stay organized, communicate effectively, and perform under pressure is essential.

What we offer:
✅ $23–$25/hour + gratuities
✅ Free staff meal while on shift
✅ Staff discounts
✅ Free parking
✅ Employee benefits package for permanent staff (50% employer-paid)
✅ Potential averaging agreement with a 4-day work week (4 x 10-hour shifts) and 3 days off

Availability is required from approximately 2:00 PM – 9:30 PM, including weekends, as we operate 7 days a week.

38 years. One kitchen. One incredible human.

This week we’re celebrating Chef Troy’s 60th birthday, and it’s hard to put into words what he means to My Chosen.

Chef Troy was part of the original opening team over 38 years ago, back when the café was next door and a fraction of what it is today. Since then, he’s been a constant, helping shape not just the food, but the culture, the standard, and the heart of this place.

He leads the way he lives: calm, steady, and always by example. You’ll find him shoulder to shoulder with the team, never above the work, never rattled by the pressure, and always focused on bringing out the best in the people around him. He sees potential where others might not, and he gives people the space to grow into it.

A man of few words, but if you know, you know. A bit of dry wit, a quick smile, and somehow your whole day is better.

There’s no version of My Chosen as it exists today without Chef Troy. This business, this property, this community, it would all look very different without him. And we don’t take that for granted.

And in true Chef Troy fashion, he’s spending his 60th birthday weekend doing what he always does, showing up for others. No time off for Mother’s Day, because he knows how important it is for so many families, and he wants to make sure it’s done right.

Mother’s Day is one of our favourite days of the year at My Chosen. ❤️

For over 38 years, families have made My Chosen part of this community, sharing meals, celebrating milestones, and creating traditions that return year after year. We don’t take that for granted, and we’re truly grateful to be a small part of your Mother’s Day.

As we get ready for a very busy day, a few quick reminders:
• We do not take reservations
• We recommend arriving early
• We seat once your entire party has arrived

Good news! My Chosen Café is first come, first served, because we don’t take reservations. No stress, no planning required. Just show up hungry and we’ll do the rest.

✨ Staff Spotlight: Eve & Our Amazing Bakery Team ✨

It’s hard to believe that Eve joined us less than a year ago. In that time, she has transformed our bakery with her incredible talent, creativity, and unwavering consistency. 💛

Her attention to detail is unmatched, her features are always fun and imaginative, and the desserts coming out of the bakery have become absolute showstoppers. We receive almost daily feedback from guests (and our own staff!) about how beautiful, exciting, and, most importantly, more delicious than ever our baked goods have become. 🍰🥐😍

So today, we want to send a huge shout-out to Eve and her amazing bakery team for filling our café with joy, flavour, and so many “wow” moments every single day. Your passion shines through in every bite, and we are so grateful to have you as part of the My Chosen team.
