What started as a crazy idea has grown into something so much more-thanks to all of
YOU. To our amazing customers who have made us part of your daily routine, your catch-ups, your celebrations, and your quiet moments... thank you for choosing us again and again.

To our past and present staff, our Village Bean family, your hard work, heart, and dedication are what truly make this place special. You’ve helped create the warm, welcoming space we’re so proud of. Thank you.

We are beyond grateful to be part of this community, to have shared so many memories over the years and to watch your families grow. Here’s to the conversations, the laughter, the coffee... and many more years to come

The Merrickville Fair is hosting a Spring Fling Dinner and Auction on April 4th. We have tickets available for sale so stop by the shop!

Also, one of our delicious Chocolate Pecan Cheesecakes with salted caramel sauce from Pickle & Myrrh is up for auction! I’ll post the link to bid online in the comments.

We are SO grateful to have been able to participate and contribute to this amazing cause as a result of Gingerbread University and Pickle & Myrrh. I had no idea that food insecurity was so prevalent in our community and that over 100 households a month rely on the services provided by the community food bank.

We’ll be looking for ways that we can help support this organization going forward. Especially this time of year, with holidays and higher utility costs, every bit helps.

❤️ Together We Can Stock the Shelves ❤️

Pickle & Myrrh and The Village Bean Coffee House is incredibly grateful to have raised $1,000 at Gingerbread University in support of the Merrickville Food Cupboard.

More people need to know just how dire the need is in our own community. The Food Cupboard serves over 100 families every month and receives zero government funding. Every single item on those shelves exists because of community initiatives and the generosity of our village.

In past years, Holiday Train donations kept shelves stocked until the end of February. This year, all donations were gone in just four hours.

This time of year is especially challenging, local farms no longer have produce to give, and every dollar and every donation truly matters. Right now, they are desperately in need of toiletries, kids’ school snacks, peanut butter, and pasta.

Please consider tagging friends, sharing this post, and donating if you can. There is a trolley just inside the Health Centre’s front doors where drop-offs can be made.

It truly takes a village, and no one in our village should go hungry.

Half way through the summer and we are already planning for when our student goes back to school! We are hiring for 3-5 days a week year round. It’s a busy place with the best customers and an amazing team!
