You can stand on me: A coastal port city in Peru is named “Pisco”

If you drink me you’ll be flying like a little bird:
Pisco is alcohol that will get you buzzed and “little bird” is a reference to the Peruvian Indigenous Quechuan word “p’isqu” or “pisco”which means bird.

Digital art created by Nefi, one of the leaders in our kitchen! 🔥 He’s been in Canada for almost 3 years and on our team for close to 3 years. He’s hoping to become a first generation Peruvian-Canadian 🇵🇪🇨🇦and here on a student visa studying business.

You know it’s funny how we receive criticism from the Peruvian community sometimes but we do more for Peruvians coming into this country for the first time than these critics do for the Peruvian community their entire lives. Just a bunch of sh*t-talkers. People of no action. No heart. No value!

We provide jobs for so many young Canadians trying to find their start in this country. Nefi’s story is similar to so many of our team members that we had the pleasure of meeting and significantly impacting their Canadian experience. People from Peru 🇵🇪, Colombia 🇨🇴, Ecuador 🇪🇨, Cuba 🇨🇺, Panama 🇵🇦, and Mexico 🇲🇽 for example.
