The Mug first opened on March 16, 1989 and has become a favourite to both locals and travelers alike. Upon entry you will find over 17 local and imported beers on tap and a full pub styled menu including fresh, local seafood. Choosing to dine on the patio leaves patrons with a breathtaking view of Mahone Bay Harbour and the famous three churches. Come join us for great music and great service; all within the atmosphere of a traditional styled english pub.

🍂 THE 2026 SCARECROW FESTIVAL PROGRAM IS HERE!!🍂
The wait is over! The full program for the 30th Annual Mahone Bay Scarecrow Festival is officially out, and there is a LOT to look forward to this fall. 🎃🍁

From September 25 to October 12, Mahone Bay will once again be filled with scarecrows, community events, live music, food, family activities, markets, fundraisers and plenty of reasons to spend a day (or several!) in town.

⚓️ CLOSED FOR THE DAY ⚓️

Unfortunately, due to the extended 10-hour power outage, The Mug & Anchor Pub will be closed for the remainder of the day.

Ten hours without power in the middle of August, combined with this heat, has taken a toll on our equipment and left us unable to operate as we normally would.

We apologize to our customers for the inconvenience and appreciate your understanding. Hopefully, we’ll see you tomorrow! 🍻❤️
