Strawberry Sour Beer Battered Pickerel Tacos
Ginger sesame slaw, pickled red onion, roasted poblano crema + fresh cilantro.

Crispy, tangy, a little sweet, a little spicy and exactly what you want with a cold beer on a summer afternoon.

Chef Nate heard “catch of the day” and made it his whole personality.

He has been out there twenty minutes. No bites. He says the big ones are near the Jetta.

For the record, the lot is not a pond. It sits on a dry well that backs up whenever the Wharncliffe storm drains tap out. It always drains. Nate just likes his odds.

Beer-battered Ontario pickerel, hand-cut fries, dill pickle remoulade, charred lemon, malt vinegar powder. You will eat all of it and you will tell your doctor you had a salad.

Three courses for $65: rabbit spanakopita with Chris’s Country Cuts doing the honours, buccatini piled with Corn Crib sweet corn, a Metzger double-cut pork chop that takes up most of the plate, or a bucket of Purdy’s pickerel with hand-cut fries. Then dessert, because you didn’t come this far to be reasonable.

Can’t make dinner? Two courses at lunch for $35, and yes, the fried chicken made the cut.

Almost everything on this menu grew up within an hour of your table. Book your spot, bring your appetite, and maybe wear the stretchy pants.

Dispensing deliciousness all festival long.

Some cocktails are refreshing. Some have a kick. This one does both.

Casamigos Silver Tequila, Triple Sec, mango nectar, fresh lime, agave, and house made jalapeño simple syrup come together in a margarita that’s bright, juicy, and finishes with just the right amount of heat.
