This week is all about moms and strawberries. 🍓💐

We kicked off Monday by transforming our main window into a “Once Upon a Strawberry” backdrop—perfect for capturing those sweet memories.

For me, I’ll always remember sitting in my garden, building strawberries from foam with my mom for all to enjoy. We laughed, we created, and we poured our hearts into it. It’s a little reminder of how many moms and daughters work so hard behind the scenes so others can celebrate.

This is my 12th Mother’s Day serving our wonderful clients instead of spending the day with my own kids, and I’m truly grateful for everyone who supports and cheers on all the hardworking moms—at home, at work, and in small businesses like ours.

Our hope this Mother’s Day weekend is that every mom who visits leaves with a sweet strawberry, a full heart, and a memory worth reliving. 💕

If my style had a soulmate, it would definitely be in Fort Langley. ♥️

Welcome back to BVS Antiquing Adventures: Diary Entry #2! This past weekend’s trip to Vancouver wouldn’t have been complete without a visit to this absolutely magical little spot. Walking through the doors feels like stepping into an extension of my home… or like stepping into a little shop in Provence.

It was so nice to see Natasha, one of the owners. I find the Little White House so inspiring, it’s always nice to get to see a kindred spirit with similar style.

The shop is full of French antiques, European linens, and the most beautiful home decor. And honestly? It looks a lot like my house. Which tells you everything you need to know about why I love it so much.

I came home with a simple white enamel candlestick holder that I have been hunting for forever. Almost bought one on Etsy a dozen times. So glad I waited.

If you’re ever near Vancouver, Fort Langley is worth the drive, and Little White House is the reason.

Just in time for a very special weekend in our Little White House… our conservatory is officially REVEALED and I am losing my chill over it. ✨

This little room has been my entire personality lately. I hustled to beat a week of nonstop rain, hail, and general chaos to get this space dried out, painted, and camera-ready before my weekend deadline— because well we have many events depending on it! We made it. Picture me running in and out between downpours, paint roller in one hand, towel in the other.

Thankfully, Sherwin-Williams had my back with the most gorgeous floor and wall paint. I went white. Bright white. Pure White by Sherwin-Williams, to be exact—and I am fully obsessed. Once I saw how good it looked on the walls and floors, I couldn’t stop… so yes, I even ended up painting the tabletops in the same color for that super clean, seamless, “did-this-on-purpose” look.

Now the whole space just glows. It’s airy, fresh, and basically begging for morning coffee, afternoon tea, and evening events with the windows open. You can see in the videos how much the light bounces around in here—it’s like living inside a sunbeam.

So folks, bring your sunglasses, your favorite drink, and come soak up the rays in this bright, beautiful room. ☀️🕶️

Recommendations for finding the perfect white paint:

Ask a professional. I relied on Scott at the Walnut Grove Sherwin-Williams branch to help me choose a durable white paint that’s washable and stands up to tea stains and hundreds of guests each week. We chose Duration Home paint in a matte finish for the walls because we wanted a soft, barn-like feel. For the floors, we used their Porch & Floor Enamel in a satin finish. Everything is in Pure White, which keeps the space bright, clean, and cohesive.

Once Upon a Strawberry 🍓 , A Mother’s Day High Tea. Step into the Little White House and be whisked away to a storybook afternoon in our sunlit white barn, where garlands of garden greens and blossoms frame long, linen-draped tables and the scent of strawberries and roses hangs softly in the air. You’ll begin with dainty savories—herbes de Provence garden–roasted nugget potatoes on brioche, garden–herbed chicken salad tucked into buttery croissants, and house-made country loaf layered with dill cream cheese and crisp English cucumbers, alongside fragrant rosemary savory shortbread. Warm strawberry cream scones and rose scones arrive next, paired with strawberry preserves and luxurious clotted cream, followed by a finale of sweets: strawberry rose teacup tiramisu, strawberry-stuffed shortbread, and delicate elderberry macarons. Throughout the afternoon, sip rose tea or sparkling strawberry lemonade as laughter, clinking teacups, and quiet moments between mothers and their loved ones. Our historic property including the coach house barn, white Conservatory and Secret Garden will be turned into a whimsical garden haven—where every detail brings the story of Mother’s Day, and its sweetest memories, full circle. Reservations open online on April 10th at 10:00am PST for reservations for all Mother’s Day Weekend from Friday May 8th to Monday May 11th.

A day in our Sherwin-Williams Sunroom ☀️🎨

You’ve all been patiently waiting for our next paint project, and we figured… what better time for a spring refresh than to go big or go home?

We’re teaming up with our friends at Sherwin-Williams to transform our beloved sunroom/conservatory—just in time for bridal showers, the wedding, and of course … Mother’s Day, and all the gatherings in between. This room has seen it all, so it deserves a little glow-up.

Little White House is officially an ambassador with Sherwin-Williams for all things WHITE. If you love a white-painted home as much as we do, follow along as we transform this historic little WHITE house featuring our favorite, tried-and-true classic whites.

As always, the project is on a classic “me” timeline: start on a Tuesday, finished by the weekend. And yes, we’re staying true to our roots and going with WHITE. 🤍

Because this space has a clear ceiling and a wall of floor-to-ceiling windows, the whites shift all day and through every season. I don’t want to go too bright or we’ll be handing out sunglasses with the tea pots; which honestly would be cute. 🥰

This week is all about prep:
– Cleaning and scraping the very loved white floors
– Testing swatches
– Choosing the perfect white for this sun-soaked space. Help us and vote! Bright & Airy or Soft & Creamy
