Funny how a good meal can bring everyone together, even when folks don't know each other that well. I was at a gathering last weekend where the buffet table seemed to be the heart of the whole event, people chatting, laughing, and going back for seconds. It made me realize how much easier it is to enjoy the moment when nobody's worrying about the food or the cleanup. Ukrainian Day is less than 2 weeks away!

Join us Sunday, August 16 for a celebration of all things Ukrainian – culture, history, and community. Expect a full day of things to see and do, including:
• Concert featuring Ukrainian dancers and musicians
• Community showcase highlighting Ukrainian-Canadian organizations and initiatives
• A Farmers’ Market featuring Ukrainian artists and local vendors
• Historical activities and demonstrations throughout the Village
• Church services beginning at 9:30 a.m. at St. Nicholas Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church and St. Vladmir’s Ukrainian Greek Orthodox Church
• A special play performance by the Ukrainian Women’s Association of Canada (UWAC) in Kiew Hall, celebrating 100 years of the UWAC.

Whether you're visiting for the music, the food, the history, or the community spirit, Ukrainian Day offers something for everyone.
