Well folks, we're open with a brand new welcome to Honeymoon Bay artifact left behind by some fine upstanding undesirables. They have since moved down the the road about 1 km with their illegal activities just a tad, but far enough to make it safe for you and your children to still visit us at the Grub Stop and Lily Beach. Since they refuse to take responsibility for their property it is in the hands of the taxpayers to foot the bill. We were assured it won't be here long. Thks Kevin Be**ch and Susan Luipersbeck for your donation of this fine yacht.

All of us at the Grub Stop in Honeymoon Bay send our condolences to the families of the young members of the Lake Cowichan community that were involved in the tragic accident in Messachie lake last week. Thank you to all 1st responders who worked through that heart breaking event also. Our thoughts are with all of you.

Well bit more snow for the Bay in last few days as well as other areas of the island. It would be nice if that were all there was and we can head into an early spring, but we will see what mother nature has in mind. May long weekend if weather is right, the Grub Stop will be open again for the season. See you soon good people's 😉👍. Part of our Christmas light display, it's gonna get bigger next year for all you folks looking to see some lights on the Gordon River bypass road behind honeymoon Bay. We will also be offering limited camping this year at Creekside. Self contained RV,s welcome. Atv's licensed, muffled etc welcome also along with those of you with horses. Contact us for details or reservations. No services available, wilderness camping only currently with limited spots, however if you have a family event you would like to do, contact us and let's see if we can make it happen.

Well was a great finish to a great summer. Thank you to all who came by and some of you repeatedly. Met some more nice people this year. It makes the job not so much like a job. We were given some very nice thoughtful gifts by some great peops including a card for ourselves and Jeff and Danielle who are always helping out in one way or another or my superb better half, Kathleen who always is willing to do what's needed to keep things rolling.

Well the long weekend is here. Grub Stop will be closed after Sunday for the season folks. Hours of operation will be Friday 330 ish until 800 pmish. Saturday and Sunday 1130 ish to 600 pmish. Come get your fix if frsh cut kennebec French fries and signature burgers, bacon and cheese and mushroom Swiss. Our grilled not deep fried fish tacoones have been a success again this year. Don't forget about our super large Grub hotdogs. Not just another dog, fried onions in butter. Also remember the Honeymoon Bay Market and the market care will be open Saturday and Sunday. Perogy dinner with cabbage rolls, koulbasa and borscht. Saturday from 1200 ish until 600 pm. Sunday they put on a pretty mean breaky. Fresh baked croissants and struddels etc. Hopefully our local golf course will be open this weekend, call ahead to make sure.
Have a great safe long weekend and we look forward to seeing your hungry smiling faces for the final weekend.

Well had the Monday pasta from Little Town Pizza Lake Cowichan, since it was my turn to cook. It did not disappoint in the slightest. Thanks guys.
