Meet Fernie. 🐾 This week's , certified Velcro dog, and the most athletic, ball-obsessed cattle dog mix to ever grace our patio.

FernieberniСboo. Fernaldo. Seven years old and somehow still going at the speed of a dog half his age. 🎾

Fernie recently visited The Nest and brought athletic, sweet, completely-attached-to-his-people energy with him. He loves toys, snacks, runs, agility β€” and especially his kids, who he follows around like his entire job depends on it. Honestly? We think it does.

Fernie wasn't adopted from a humane society β€” he came from a rescue organization, and he was originally meant to be a running buddy. He turned out to be so much more than that.

His family said it perfectly:

"We love animals and giving them another chance to live a full life is wonderful. We are thankful that we found him and hope others are able to give a dog another chance too."

That's the whole heart of why we do what we do. Whether they're from the Kitchener Waterloo Humane Society or another rescue organization, every dog deserves a chance at a full life β€” and 10% of every coffee sold at The Nest goes toward making that possible for the dogs at KWSP right here in our community. β˜•β™₯️
