La Casbah Local family business in Kitchener-Waterloo for over 29 years, bringing you a taste of North African and Mediterranean cuisine.

La Casbah is a family owned business in Kitchener-Waterloo dedicated to bringing you a taste of Moroccan and Mediterranean cuisine. We started our business 19 years ago with just a small booth at the Kitchener market and now have grown to own a Restaurant in downtown Kitchener and two stalls at the Kitchener and St Jacobs farmers market. Our food is fresh, healthy and full of flavour. Everything is baked and made with fresh ingredients. Some of our specialties include the original Mahajeb and Bestilla (Moroccan royal pie).

**Our restaurant is currently open for take out only. We hope to re-open our dine in restaurant in the near future. In the mean time, come see us at the St Jacobs farmers market on Thursday and Saturday all year round from 7:00 am to 3:30 pm and Tuesdays in the summer time. Cooking classes:

Catering:
We offer catering for special occasions such as first communions, meetings, birthdays, anniversaries, showers and more! Customized orders of any size are also available.

Holy smokes, what a day!

Clearly, those few months of “retirement” hit us hard because we were not expecting the turnout we had today.

After working at the market for so many years, everything had become second nature. Today, we stepped into a completely new adventure, and I truly don’t have the words to express how grateful we are.

Thank you SO, SO, SO much for your support, your patience, and your kindness as we figured out our very first day.

One of our favourite parts of all those years at the market was sharing our food, but even more than that, it was meeting the incredible people who became our community and our friends. Seeing so many of you again today was incredibly special, even amongst all the chaos (all these months off did a number on us). We may not have had the chance to properly catch up with everyone, but we can’t wait to do just that.

It means the world to us that we got to share the beginning of this new chapter with all of you. 🤍

After years at the St. Jacobs and Kitchener markets, our family thought it was time to slow down and retire. Turns out we weren’t ready to let go of what we’ve built over the last 29 years, so instead we’re starting something new.
We’re beyond excited to open the doors to La Casbah Café, bringing the same flavors you’ve known us for, now with coffee, tea, iced drinks, light food, pastries and a cozy space to enjoy them in. ✨

Join us for our grand opening, Saturday August 8th from 8am to 3pm.
