✨Story Time!✨

Thought I share today!

The night before I cater a dinner I go over all the details in my head, I pack my cooking kit, I make sure I’m not missing any ingredients, because the success of a dinner depends in how organized I am. Cooking dinner in a kitchen I have never stepped into can be overwhelming enough, but that is all eased by my level of preparedness. But! There’s one dinner that always stresses me out the most, and it’s the most requested…the all mighty prime rib, roasted to perfection and served with a simple side is the star of the show. 🥩 ⭐️ Tonight, as I prepared to cook another prime rib for what’s probably like the 50th time all I can hear in my head is “WHATEVER YOU DO, DON’T F**K UP THE MEAT!!!” 😅 And I know I won’t, because I have never overcooked a prime rib… but I am still humbled by the daunting task of cooking a large very expensive cut of meat! I care about my clients and value that you count on me to bring excellence to your dining table. I promise, I’ll deliver.

I was watching Anthony Bourdain last night, he was eating sea urchins in Amalfi Coast (must go there someday), and today I see this on Facebook, this must be a sign that I need to try sea urchin or "uni"... Have you tried this? what does it taste like?

This weekend The Awakened Foodie catered a dinner for a group of lovely ladies celebrating their friend’s birthday. I am forever grateful that I am entrusted with your especial celebrations ❤️. Pictured prosciutto wrapped Turkey breast over roasted vegetables with a savoury creamy gravy.

☀️ Thank you to those that booked a dinner party for this upcoming holiday season! I am very excited to be cooking for so many of you.
I am all booked up now and will take reservations for Feb 2022 within the next few weeks, with a new menu!

Book your holiday dinner party today! Why go out when you can dine in?! Groups of 8-12. Fully customizable menu, if you can dream it, I can make it!
Food is prepped at your home and served to you and your guest. Leave the cooking and clean up to us and enjoy your own party.

This was about an hour and a half long journey that took me all the way to Thailand. Yes, you could just buy the paste, but if you’ve got the time to choose the ingredients, make the paste and then bring it to life in a red curry dish? Why not?! But we get lost in wanting perfection delivered in 30 minutes... cooking is an art, and even tho we can make some magnificent dishes in less than 30, when you’ve got the time, why not get to know the ingredients that make you so happy? YOU WILL BE REWARDED WITH DELICIOUSNESS... every time. ☺️
