Good Food Box Kincardine and Area

10/15/2026

Kincardine Good Food Box / Knox Winter coat distribution just had a call from one of the 915 Huron Terr. evacuees regarding the free Winter coat etc distribution slated for Thursday Oct 22 6-9pm and Friday 23 9am-1pm at Knox, Kincardine.
Because she was anxious - naturally - I have agreed that 915 evacuees may come early - at 5pm next Thurs. - and pick up whatever they need - we do have lighter clothing as well as outerwear, footwear and accessories. This does not mean that the rest of the community will miss out - we have received a huge amount of donations so there should be plenty for all. To be fair and thorough, we will also take a list of needs which we are unable to fulfill across Thurs & Fri. and try and get those needs supplied asap.
Secondly, I am moving food support Good Food Box tokens onto a future month from October at the request of evacuees - as long as they contact me before Sunday when we order. In addition, instead of sending out "leftover" produce from the GFB at the end of the morning we will make it available to those coming for clothing.

It's National Volunteer Week, celebrating the dedication and impact of all volunteers in building stronger, more connected communities.

This year’s theme, "Ignite Volunteerism," emphasizes the power of participation and the spark that inspires people to make a difference.

The week recognizes the time, energy, and compassion volunteers contribute.

We are so grateful for our amazing community of volunteers!

Without our dedicated volunteers, our Grey Bruce Good Food Box would not be possible!

THANK YOU!
