UVA Wine Bar + Kitchen is looking for a Sous Chef to join our small kitchen team.
This is a focused kitchen that values good ingredients, solid technique, and a calm, professional service.
Our kitchen is open, so we are looking for someone who is comfortable interacting with guests. You should be happy to chat with diners, run food, and be part of the overall atmosphere of the restaurant.
The role includes:
• Supporting daily kitchen operations
• Prep and service
• Running food to tables and interacting with guests
• Solo services when required
• Helping keep the kitchen organized and running smoothly
• Contributing ideas and menu input
What we’re looking for:
• Previous line cook or sous chef experience
• Someone reliable who works well in a small team
• Comfortable working in an open kitchen environment
24–30 hours per week
Competitive hourly wage based on experience + tip pool
