I'd like to give a shout-out to a new local business owner in Keswick Anthony & Bonnie at The Dapper Den The Dapper Den
Back in January, I reached out to Anthony a local barber in Newmarket about a very personal request. My dad is almost 90 years old and as some of you know he lives with dementia. Getting him out for a haircut had become difficult, so I asked if he would consider going to my parents home every couple of weeks to cut my Dad’s hair and shave him.
Even though house calls aren’t typically part of his business, he didn’t hesitate to help. Having a father with dementia himself, he understood exactly what our family was going through.
For the past several months, he has shown my dad kindness, patience, dignity, and respect every single visit. Those things mean more to our family than I can put into words.
As Anthony begins his new business here in Keswick along side his wife Bonnie, I wanted to publicly thank him and let others know what kind of person he is. A great haircut is important, but character is what truly sets someone apart.
