Long post, but an important one!
We are officially one month into The Burger Shack being open, and we want to thank everyone for their support so far. Like anything new, we have had some learning curves and we have had to make a few adjustments along the way. But all in all, it has been a pretty good first month, and it is only going to get better as our staff continue to get the hang of things and we find our groove.

We wanted to take a minute to explain our hours of operation here at The Burger Shack.
The Burger Shack is owned by the Hants North Ball Association and is a non-profit canteen. Everything that comes through the Shack goes right back into helping support Findley Park and keeping it operating as the home of the Hants North Jays.
Because we are based at the ballfield, our hours are planned around ball games, tournaments, and field schedules. Those schedules can change from day to day due to weather, umpire availability, cancellations, and other factors outside of our control. This is the biggest reason we do not always have regular set business hours through the week, like a typical restaurant.
As of right now, our set weekend hours are:
Fridays: 4pmā8pm, unless otherwise posted
Saturdays & Sundays: 12pmā7pm, unless otherwise posted
During the week, we will always try to be open one hour before scheduled games and close at 8pm. For example, if a game is scheduled from 6pmā8pm, we will try to be open from 5pmā8pm, unless otherwise posted.
There may also be times when games start earlier than our regular Friday, Saturday, or Sunday hours. When that happens, we will adjust accordingly and update everyone through our page.
We also want to be transparent that most of our staff are students or people who work other jobs, so we do our best to schedule around both the ball schedule and staff availability.
Going forward, we will try to post every Monday with our anticipated hours for the week. Please keep in mind that these hours may change at any point. If games are cancelled, if the weather changes, or if staffing becomes an issue, we may need to adjust.
That being said, our hours for this week are as follows: (I will repost this separately tomorrow)
Tuesday June 9, 5pm- 8pm
Wednesday June 10, 4pm- 8pm
Friday June 12, 4pm - 8pm
Saturday June 13, open at 10:30am for drinks & snacks only 11am- 7pm (food service)
Sunday June 14, open at 10am drinks & snack only 11am - 7pm (food service)
There may also be evenings when we have gone an hour or more without any orders and only have a short time left before closing. In those cases, we may close early and will always do our best to post an update on our page.
