Back in the early to late 70's our mom used to drive us from Rutland to Gyro park always and our big wish was to stop at the old location back when Hwy 97 was not built up .
Screaming kids of what we wanted but usually The Mushroom Swiss with our faces all messy , those big portion Fries with the perfect seasoning salt ,and of course Banana Milkshake with real bananas as you could watch them added in the blender .
Later year when I was delivering newspapers it was still a treat as friends would bike to the lake to fish or beach time at around 12 years old and drive thru on bikes and a picnic table behind to sit and enjoy .
Fabulous Memories and ive frequented the new location , Once I stopped in and sat inside and read Karrin's story of resurrecting the quality / heritage /culture and more good feeling design inside of what Burger Baron was .
She actually saw me eating and she was tired probably working overboard but stopped and sat down , we chatted for a bit and I gave her Kudos as she's made this cool spot happen again .
If I won I'd like the great meal to go to another single parent family to enjoy as in truth mom was alone with dad working out of town so much .Always great memories here

In Oct 1975, I started dating my high school sweetheart. At the time Tim and his sisters worked evenings at The Burger Baron on Harvey Ave. Most evenings I took dinner to him as I thought this would be a nice treat. Years later, after we were married, I discovered he gave all those dinners to his sisters because he really preferred the burgers:) In May we celebrate 44 years of marriage and I am told Tim now loves my cooking. Even after all these years, we still enjoy treating ourselves to burgers at the Burger Baron . Thank you so much for continuing to serve our community!!
