tomorrow we’re running a benny bowl special to celebrate all the mama’s

garlic and herb pan fries topped with two poached eggs, béarnaise, grilled asparagus or crispy bacon (or both) cilantro chutney and crispy onions

~ round out your celebratory brekky with a lemon meringue cream puff + a preserved limonata drink special (like lemonade, but a bit more fancy)

we have a couple menu items coming off soon and we wanted to give you heads up about their departure

the tartare flatbread, essentially an open faced and over sized pierogi will be on hiatus for a veggie burger with a good mix of grains, fresh and poppy acidic veg

and our chow-chow burrito, inspired by African American food ways with its hush puppies, beet chow chow, shredded chicken + white bbq sauce, has only been on the menu for the short while, but by early June we want to shift to a burrito that, again, is leaning into those fresh veg and bright acids for its crunch

all this is to say, come get these two menu items before they take a bow!

here at the bistro we firmly believe we’re rocking a espresso-bar-sandwich-shop-kind-of-a vibe

but boy o’ boy have we ever disappointed a lot of people over the years when they find out we don’t offer eggs benny on our menu

enter our solution

a peace offering of sorts

the Fried Egg Benny Sando:
house made pretzel bun
charred broccoli
fermented jalapeños
pickled whites
a fried egg
béarnaise sauce
+ chili oil

and if you’re like my son, add a lil’ bacon to round it out

a) tiramisu bomb: rolled in toasted sugar, filled with coffee syrup, vanilla pastry cream, topped with stabilized whip and cocoa

✨ to celebrate we developed a festive drink + sandwich pairing for the month of december

have it with or without spirits, our Moscow Yule is an infusion of persian dried lime, organic cranberries, ginger and mint, and garnished with pomegranate molasses + a sumac sugar rim

queue up your Yule with our Festive Biscuit
stuffed with Bradner Farms roast chicken + gravy, umami mayo, deep fried crispy chicken skin and bacon bits, a spicy cranberry relish, and a brussel sprout + apple salad tossed in a apple + brown butter vinaigrette

festive giveaway ✨ 🎄

we have two bluebelle goodie packs up for grabs this month!

a short while ago the bluebelle collaborated with local artist, cat sitter, + dear friend ji of fame to create a temporary logo

now we are giving away one medium + one large h**p hoodie featuring my food lovin’ Kobi the Cat and some of our favourite bistro treats, as well as a canvas tote and a Kobi Cat sticker

there are three ways to enter:

a) tag someone you would like to see win in the comments and we will enter their name in the draw

b) in the comments tell us what your favourite bistro treat is

c) snag an extra entry if you can accurately identify one of the treats balanced atop kobi cat’s head
