How lovely to see a community come together so beautifully! This night would not have been possible without the help of our wonderful crew.

Led by Chef Alain Pineault, the kitchen staff worked diligently to recreate that Kaprice feel. Thank you to his partner Claudette, to Priscilla Marcoux, the catering girls (Néomie, Kiki and Haley), the dishwashers (Sophie and Karen), and the Prevost clan (Lise, Marc and Melo), and to our hostess and waitress team: Mel Credger, Jess Lallier, Zoé Laplante, Nancy Pelchat and Mel Ethier. Hats off to Alain and the gang!

A shout-out to our corporate sponsors: Kap Machine Shop & Welding for the hall rental, melotrado for translation services and a table draw, Michel Harvey for decals and Forever Yourz for decor. The silent auction was made possible thanks to Christine and Stéphane Diamond (previous owners of Canadian Tire in Kap, now owners of the store in Rivière-des-Prairies, QC), Annie St-Croix and family and Kap Furniture Fashion LTD. Such generous souls!

For weeks, the organizing committee worked to put this night together. Sincere thanks to Mel Gagné, Chantal Boucher, Sierra Levesque, Diane Raymond and Priscilla Marcoux.

Last, but not least, cheers to the staff at the golf course for going above and beyond.

Together, we brought back that Kaprice aroma for a night. A ton of smiles, a few nostalgic tears and full bellies all around. We love you, Mylene. May your future shine bright!

Chef Alain Pineault a très bien su guider sa brigade pour recréer l’ambiance du Kaprice. Il ne faut surtout pas oublier le personnel du club de golf qui a tout fait pour assurer le bon déroulement de la soirée.

Grâce à l’effort de chacun, les bonnes saveurs du Kaprice étaient dans l’air. Des sourires à volonté, quelques larmes à emporter pour un brin de nostalgie et des bedons bien ronds. On t’aime, Mylène. Sache que l’avenir te réserve de belles choses!

Bonjour amis et clients qui nous manquent énormément,

Nous sommes vraiment choyés et reconnaissants pour la soirée de demain soir organisée par des amis et des gens de la communauté!

Nous aimerions souligner que oui nous vivons des temps difficiles en ce moment, mais nous avons des assurances et on espère que tout se passera bien pour le futur. Cette célébration est organisée dans le but de célébrer Le Kaprice, le staff et vous, nos clients et amis.

L’intention n’était pas une levée de fonds, mais plutôt une célébration en votre belle compagnie.

Dear friends and patrons that we miss so much,

We are lucky and grateful for tomorrow night’s event organized by friends and members of the community!

We’d like you to know that yes, we are facing some challenging times, but that we have insurance and that we hope all goes well in the future. This night is being held to celebrate Le Kaprice, the staff and all of you, our clients and friends.

This is meant to be a night in great company, much more than a fundraiser.

Bonjour à notre famille, nos amies et spécialement nos chers clients et clientes bien appréciés,
Comme vous le savez déjà, c’est avec un cœur gros que nous vous informons que notre Le Kaprice a succombé aux flammes dimanche dernier. Je suis encore sans mots! Quelle tragédie pour nous tous, notre famille du Kaprice, notre famille, nos amies, les bénévoles et surtout, notre communauté et notre région. Plusieurs de vous nous ont envoyé des messages, textos, appels téléphoniques, etc… Même si je n’ai pas eu la chance de répondre à tout le monde, sachez que nous sommes très reconnaissants pour votre support. Votre appui en ces temps difficiles et tellement appréciés.
Un gros merci aux pompiers de Kapuskasing, la PPO, la ville de Kapuskasing et Temblay contracting pour un travail incroyable lors de l’incendie.
Nous devons vous avouer que nous sommes encore en état de choc. Mais, pour l’instant, nous voulons vous rassurer que nous faisons tout notre possible pour que le Kaprice puisse revoir le jour dans un avenir près.

Hello to our family, our friends and specially our appreciated customers,
As you already know, it is with a heavy heart that we must inform you that our cherished Kaprice Resto was destroyed by fire on Sunday night. There is no words! What a tragedy for us all, our Kaprice family, our friends, our volunteers and most of all our community and our region. Many of you have sent messages, texts, phone calls, etc. Even if we haven’t had a chance to respond to everyone, please know that we appreciate all of your support. Your kind words are extremely appreciated. A big thank you the Kapuskasing fire department, the Kapuskasing OPP, the town of Kapuskasing, Tremblay contracting for your hard work during the fire.
We must admit that we are still in shock. For the time being, we want to assure you that we are doing everything we can for Le Kaprice to be back in a very near future.
With much sadness but a lot of hope,
