Behind every small business, there is a real person.
A real family.
Real bills.
Real stress.
Real sleepless nights.
And sometimes, real exhaustion.
I am sharing this because I honestly don’t know how else to explain how hard it can be to run a small business.
The revenue is unpredictable. The losses are real. Costs keep rising. We have been dealing with road construction for more than a year. Still, every day we show up and try to offer the best quality we can.
And then sometimes, we receive 1-star reviews for reasons that are not truly about quality or service.
Because an item was sold out.
Because our prices are not the same as cheap chain coffee shops, even though all prices are clearly displayed.
Because a chicken sandwich is “not Turkish enough.”
Because someone buys 20 pieces of baklava, eats 18, and brings back 2 asking for a refund.
Because some people simply want to damage a small business.
I know we are not perfect. No business is. If you ever have a complaint or concern, please tell us directly and kindly. We will always listen, learn, and try to make it right.
But harsh reviews affect real people. They affect families, employees, and years of hard work. A 1-star review takes a few seconds to write, but it can stay with us for a very long time.
I don’t want to complain. We have wonderful customers and regulars who remind us every day why we keep going. But I am human too. I have two young kids, a family, and a business I am trying to protect with everything I have.
We are not the cheapest option. That is true. We choose quality, fresh products, better ingredients, and real effort. I stand behind every product we sell.
I only ask for fairness, kindness, and understanding.
Small businesses are human too.
Thank you to everyone who supports us with love, patience, and honest feedback. You are the reason we continue.
