Bitter/sweet is the best choice of words we can find to announce the sale of our food truck.

We’re happy to see it go to a great new home Densiqi Community Services (sorry couldn’t find your @) where there is a whole team of enthusiastic people to take care of it, and it will be roaming about their large service territory feeding people in smaller outlying communities FOR FREE!! Now that’s an easy mission statement to get behind! ❤️❤️

As this journey winds to an end, there’s not much left to do, except taxes……🥱🥱 - and to thank you all again for your support. Whether it was coming to see us regularly, or smashing that like button from a distance, or anything in between there - you helped make a difference in our lives and it was a wonderful experience that we will look back upon fondly.

Further to what Mikey says in the video, this account will shift its focus a bit to be less about our work and more about our fun times. If that’s not for you, we understand. If it is, well then that’s super! We’ll see you around! ❤️😘🫡

We apologize if you thought this was a “we’re back” post. I was told that some of our stories about snowboarding over the winter have been giving Pastafarians false hope about being able to get some of our pasta again.

Instead we’re here to remind you that our is still for sale.

So if you, or anyone you know has serious aspirations about starting a food truck of your very own, please tag them, send them this post, send them a fax, send them a carrier pigeon!

We just ask that you let the keen cook know that our truck is for sale and that we’re happy to talk not only about the truck itself, but also about the fun-filled food truck biz in general.

Incase you aren’t tired of hearing sad news from our food truck - here’s a lovely piece that Adam Donnelly from did on us on our closing day.

Although he may have spelled Natalie’s last name incorrectly (no shade Adam, nobody spells it right), he absolutely nailed her job title!!

We’d also like to thanks the who took the time to speak to Adam that day and give such shining reviews for us! You’re special to us too!

As Natalie says in the video “Thank you Kamloops, Eats Amore loves you!”

But what you don’t see in this video is the instructions that Natalie was given about the champagne celebration.

“Ok babe, what you’re gonna wanna do is - once you pop it, stick your finger in the mouth of the bottle like you would a garden hose to get that race car driver style of spray that we’re looking for….”

She popped it alright, but she was so excited about the overflowing bubbles, and more than likely flooded with emotions from the day that she forgot about the finger trick, so Mikey had to step in!!

Thanks so much to Daniela and Lindsay for helping us out on our last day. Definitely couldn’t have done it without you!

Natalie and I (Mikey) we’re both tossing and turning last night. Lots of emotions running through the mind and body can easily keep one up at night.

When we did manage to find some sleep, my mind was still hyperactive, dreaming a myriad of dreams, and as abstract as all of those dreams seemed at the time, I woke up this morning with a smile on face. As I opened my eyes and happily felt the grin that I was wearing, I realized that all of those dreams had an underlying theme. And that theme was gratitude.

Of all the emotions that both of us were feeling, the main and overriding feeling that we both share is gratitude towards this whole experience. And that is due to the overwhelming support that you all have shown us.

So incase we don’t have time to say it to you in person today (because if todays service is anything like yesterday’s it’s gonna be a busy one!), we’d like to say it here and now - Thank you!

Today will be ’s last day and it will be taking place at the Best Western Plus Kamloops Hotel on Columbia Street from 11-3.

Whether you can make it or not, thank you for making the past 11 years of our lives so interesting. We will remember you all fondly.

We were lucky enough to have CBC Kamloops come to interview us today about our impending last few days in the .

Thanks so much for giving us the opportunity to tell a bunch of old stories and to talk about our current feelings.

We’ll have to wait to hear the interview until Monday when it airs on CBC.

But until then - don’t forget that we’re not quite gone yet!! We’ve got two more days of service left:

- Friday October 13th at Finning Canada on Hwy 5 from 11-1:30

- Our last day will be Saturday October 14th at the Best Western Plus Kamloops Hotel on Columbia Street from 11-3 maybe? 🤷‍♂️

As Eats Amore has grown through the years, we’ve been extremely grateful to have had more than a few wonderful people help us onboard the . And if you’re reading this and have physically worked in the truck with us, I’m talking about you. Natalie and I (Mikey) will be eternally grateful for your time with us.

However, there are two people that have been absolutely paramount in our success and we would like share all of the kind accolades that you have been leaving in our comments (still working on getting back to you all 😅) with Jared & Dana. Without these two we wouldn’t have made it through the biggest jobs we’ve ever taken on, we wouldn’t have ever had the customer experience that we’ve all become accustomed to, and we definitely wouldn’t have had the quantity & quality of food that we’ve become known for.

Thank you both so much!!

We try to let you two know how grateful we are that you both chose to work with us, to share in our vision, and to have learned and grown together over the years. But incase you haven’t known, well here it is on the internet for you both, and for everyone else to read as well.

Thank you, thank you, thank you!

If you see either of these two out anywhere, please buy them a beer, as they were the real hero’s making your lunch while I was most likely talking to you.

We wish you both all the best in whatever you do next, and you’ll both do great as you are both fantastic human beings. But it’s not like we we won’t see each other again……I mean we’re practically neighbours!!

Thank you to all of the that graced us with your presence today! We were a little slow to get going, so we appreciate your patience.

As the video says, the idea that we need your help with is this: we’re going to get matching tattoos to commemorate this time in our lives but we’re not quite sure what to get, nor where to get it. So we are asking for your ideas!!

All ideas will be considered, so let loose! Give us your best and we’ll filter it down to the ones that we would actually consider.

You can describe it in the comments, you can tell us at the window if you are coming to see us next week, or you can sketch it out on a piece of paper and then take a picture of that paper and DM it to us.

First of all - we just want to say that we are absolutely flattered, floored and were quite frankly brought to tears by the out pouring of kindness and support in the comment section(s) of our post from yesterday about us closing down. We will get back to each and every one of your comments, but it’s going to take us some time, so thanks for your patience.

For what was definitely one of the more emotional posts we’ve ever had to make, you have really made these two (not so young anymore) feel just as valued and appreciated in our time of closing as you have over the past decade (and a bit). And for that we will be forever grateful.

In yesterdays post, we said we’d have more info about our last few public appearances, and although there aren’t many, here they are:

- Friday, Oct. 6th (tmrw), at Best Western Plus Kamloops Hotel on Columbia Street from 11-1:30 or 2.

- Saturday, Oct. 7th, closed for a wedding.

- Friday, Oct. 13th, Finning Canada on Hwy 5 from 11-1:30

- Saturday, Oct. 14th, our final day of service will again be Best Western Plus Kamloops Hotel. We will open at 11 that day and go from there.

We hope that schedule works for and that you can track us down for old times’ sake!

We’ve also have a few inquiries about what’s next for us, well the short version is that I (Mikey) through the graces of an old friend was able to land a job in a sales role based out of Kamloops, so depending on what industry you work in, we may cross paths again.

However, we all know that Natalie is the real talent of this operation, and after the 14th, she will be a . So if you, or someone you know could use her talents (preferably not in the culinary world, but we’re open to offers) then shoot us a DM! 👍

Also, some people have mentioned the idea of going out with a “cookbook” of sorts……not a bad idea. We’ll stew on that one. 😂 get it….🥣

Oh, and the “thing” that we need your help with will be announced tomorrow morning so that you can offer us your ideas either in the comments or at the window if you come for lunch!!

We don’t know where to begin with this announcement, so we’ll just come right out with it.

October 14th, 2023 will be the last day for Eats Amore……..and not just for the season this time - but forever.

It is with that Natalie and I (Mikey) have decided it’s time to move on from this lovely endeavour, and try a new avenue in life (pun intended).

I could sit here and give you a list of factors that have contributed to this difficult decision that we’ve come to, but to make it short and sweet - we’re just not in love with it anymore. And the word love is right there in the name “Amore”. So at the end of the day, after a few years of discussions about it, we’ve decided that sadly it’s time to move on.

If anyone remembers reading “The Outsiders”, there’s a line from that book where one of the characters quotes a poem by Robert Frost, it says “Nothing gold can stay”, and it speaks to how all good things must come to an end, and therefore it’s imperative that we enjoy the beauty of these things while they are with us.

That’s where I feel that Natalie and I have been so lucky to have truly enjoyed almost 11 years of this beautiful adventure together. We’ve felt nothing but love and support from our family, friends, customers, co-workers, clients, community and all other forms of . For a lot of you, that Venn diagram overlaps you multiple times. For this we are forever grateful!

There has been so many positives to this entire experience that we could probably write a book about it, but we would just like to say how thankful we are for inviting us to feed your families, your colleagues, for stopping in for lunch, for swinging by just to say hi, and for talking openly with us. You have all helped us learn and grow so much, and we’ll take your lessons with us as we look to start a new chapter in our lives together.

I’m not crying, you’re crying…….

We’ll have more details to come, including a list of our last few vending days, and an idea that we’re going to need your help with, but for now we just wanted to let you know where we’re at and try to convey our gratitude to you all the best we could.

The video says it all! We’re doing a quick lunch out at Finning today and we are open to the public as well!

We will be open at 11 and will be closing at 1.
