No meat. No boring sandwich.

𝕋𝕙𝕖 𝕁𝕒𝕤𝕡𝕖𝕣 𝔾𝕒𝕣𝕕𝕖𝕟 is piled high with hummus, ajvar 🌶️
lettuce, sprouts, arugula, tomato, cucumber, carrots,
green and black olives, and creamy goat cheese.

We created it to make sure those skipping the meat still get a damn good sandwich-and this one flies out the door.

Not an ajvar fan? Change up the sauce and make it yours.

LIVE MUSIC AT PSD
Friday, August 28 | 7–9 pm

This is a big one.

Curt Young is an award-winning artist whose music
has taken him around the world and earned him two
number-one songs on the NCI Indigenous Music Countdown.

He’s performed at major festivals, won Best Blues Album
at the Indigenous People’s Choice Awards and shared
his music at more than 300 schools across Canada and beyond.

And NEXT Friday night, he’s playing right here at our little deli.

Come grab a sandwich, order a drink and experience
an incredibly talented artist in our small, intimate space.

No cover.
Just show up,
settle in and enjoy the music.

How we treat each other behind the counter shows up
in how we treat every person who walks through our doors.

The feeling that you belong here.

We care deeply about our people-because when
our team feels supported, valued and proud to be here,
our guests feel it too.

The heart of Patricia Street Deli has always been our crew.
On both sides of the counter.

and full of really good people who genuinely
want to hear you.

Maybe you’ve thought about getting up there.
Maybe you’re a little nervous.
Come anyway.

Ball, ball, ball all weekend.

Half this team works at Patricia Street Deli, so naturally we sponsor the team. Because apparently working together all week wasn’t enough. 😂

Sundays are game days, which makes staffing the deli a bit of a logistical nightmare, but we figure it out.

And we love it.

We spend enough time inside on our feet, making sandwiches and running around like lunatics. Getting outside, being active, laughing and playing ball is a pretty damn good way to spend Sundays.

Team building, but without the awkward corporate exercises.

Just ball, beers, questionable athletic ability and a bunch of people who genuinely like hanging out with each other.

So if the deli crew looks a little tired on Monday…
Mind your business. 😂

Connection.

This week, the people behind Edmonton River Valley came through our doors as part of an initiative they’ve started to support downtown Edmonton restaurants.

And this round, they chose us.

They came in to hear our story. They bought lunch.
They bought a whole bunch of gift cards.
We shared stories, laughed, talked about business,
downtown, life and everything in between.

But more than anything, we connected.

And maybe that’s what supporting
small business really comes down to.

Because small businesses aren’t just transactions.
They’re people.
They’re families.
They’re employees trying to make a living.
They’re stories, risks, long days, second chances
and a whole lot of hope tied up in four walls.

When restaurants close, we lose more than
another place to eat. We lose gathering places.
Familiar faces. Pieces of a neighbourhood.

The beautiful people behind The River Valley, Dogpatch and Little Brick are putting that belief into action.
They’re not just talking about supporting downtown.
They’re showing up for it.

We are incredibly grateful that this time,
they chose to shine some of that light
on our little deli.

We started the day as strangers.
We ended it feeling like we’d known
each other a whole lot longer.

That’s connection.

And we think downtown Edmonton
could use a whole lot more of it.

Thank you for showing up for small business.
Thank you for showing up for downtown.
And thank you for choosing Patricia Street Deli.

We won’t forget it. ♥️

Since starting the Kindness Sandwich Program,
we’ve had people come through our doors who
genuinely can’t believe there’s no catch.

No money needed.
No questions asked.
No limited menu to choose from.

You see, someone they’ve never met simply decided to buy their lunch.

There have been moments of disbelief, relief, gratitude
and sometimes very few words at all.

It’s just a sandwich.
But it’s so much more.

It’s dignity. It’s community.
It’s people looking out for people
without needing to know their story first.

And after everything our family has experienced,
getting to stand behind a counter in downtown Edmonton
and witness that kind of humanity has shown us
something pretty incredible:

This is who Edmonton is.

Since we started this program, 250 Kindness Sandwiches
have been purchased and 250 have been handed
across our counter to someone who needed one.

250 people fed by 250 acts of kindness.

A sandwich can’t fix everything someone may
be carrying when they walk through our doors.

But for that moment it can say:

You matter.
You belong here.
Someone thought of you today.

We hope that as Patricia Street Deli grows,
this program grows right alongside us.
That there is always a sandwich waiting behind
our counter for the person who needs one.

Because somewhere along the way,
this stopped feeling like our
Kindness Sandwich Program.

It belongs to the community.

We’re just lucky enough to be the ones
who get to hand the kindness across the counter.

If you feel inclined to pass along a little sandwich love,
you can purchase a Kindness Sandwich: https://order.toasttab.com/online/patricia-street-deli-10567-111-st-nw/item-kindness-sandwich-purchased_ac087498-4585-4e5f-9d1a-ef163536319f

If you’re new here, this is Patricia Street Deli in a nutshell. ❤️

We’re a family-run deli that started in Jasper in 2004.
For 20 years, we made sandwiches, fed locals and travellers, watched kids grow up, learned people’s orders and became
part of a community we loved.

Then the Jasper wildfire took our deli in 2024.

So we started again.
Same family.
Same recipes.
Same slightly chaotic energy.
New home in Edmonton.

We roast our own meats.
We make our sauces from scratch.
We bake our bread.
We pickle our onions.
We make our own pot pies
to take home and reheat.
We bake desserts.
We make homemade soups-
always gluten free.
We take gluten-free seriously.
We make a damn good sandwich
but PSD has never really been just
about sandwiches.

It’s live music and cold beer.
It’s knowing your name.
It’s feeding 500 people for a wedding
or a funeral one day and making one
sandwich for someone who needs a little kindness the next.

It’s our family working side by side.
We butt heads, we laugh, we pivot, we figure it out
and we bounce back fast-because the love runs
deeper than any hard day ever could.
We’re in this together. Always.

We lost four walls in Jasper.
We didn’t lose who we are.
Some things can be rebuilt.
The things that matter most were never lost

We’re Patricia Street Deli.

Come hungry. Stay awhile.
