Ahoy fellow valley dwellers!⛵️

We receive many questions about what that white,“spicy”, garlicky dipping sauce is that you receive with your Halloumi Styx, Cheese Pita, and this weeks Triple Cheesadillas! So figured we’d do a public service announcement about it! 🍽️

This sauce is something we picked up sailing the Mediterranean Sea. Generally referred to as “Toum”, it is a bit of a staple in middle eastern cuisines, particularly Lebanon. And you guys have enjoyed it so much that it looks like it’s becoming a staple in our Galley as well. 🗺️
Through the “illicit” acquiring of provision on our last raid, we realised that the oils we took into stock happened to be cold pressed rather than the refined stuff we normally use. This does happen to be a small treasure score as this type of oil tends to be more valuable. It is processed without heat or chemicals which helps it retain nutrients and affects the smoking point in a cooking scenario. We also found out that, it happens to turn our Garlic Toum a bright yellow mustard colour and emulates our Scallywag logo nicely.🪝
Thus we’ve dubbed it : Scally Toum!!!
and will continue to provide different arrangements of doughs and cheeses to serve as vessels to transfer Scally Toum to your tummy😎

We’re open, Invermere! 🏴‍☠️
Join us today for lunch ‘til 3PM, and then we’re back again from 10PM ‘til ULLR shuts the doors.

We’ve got a serious lineup of global eats today:

DAY MENU (Until 3PM):
🥪 Scallywag Cubano – Slow Roasted Mojo Pork, Shredded Ham, Swiss, Galley Pickles & Davie Jones Dijon, pressed to crispy perfection
🌽 Served with Elote Salade – Grilled corn, charred jalapeños, chili romesco, cotija, yogurt, cornbread croutons & lime

🍖 Mediterranean Meal – Roasted Lamb Chops, fresh Tabouleh Salad, House-Made Pita & creamy Garlic Toum

LATE NIGHT ADDITIONS (from 10PM):
🌮 Cochinita Pork Tacos – Gochujang Aioli, scallions & slow-cooked Yucatán-style flavor
🧀 Greek Halloumi Sticks – Crispy, golden, served with that dreamy Garlic Toum
🥟 Lamb Baozi – Steamed buns packed with seasoned lamb goodness

Ahoy Rascals and Rascaless'! 🧜‍♀️🧞‍♂️ As many of you know the Scallywags have hoisted the main sail and taken to the streets of Invermere BC, buuuut did you know you can hire us as a Voyage Charter for your special occasions as well? Captain "Kraken-Bait" Chris heads the Galley and, while he carries a love for "port"-food; he's been known to cork the rum bottle, dust off the white coat, and switch out the cardboard boxes for ceramic rounds from time to time. Go checkout some of his previous work, prior to committing to the pirate life, and stay tuned for his latest voyages featuring a full crew on deck!

Scallywag Galley is up at Invermere Brewing Co. TONIGHT for Open Mic Night!

We’ve be servin’ from 6PM ‘til the tunes wind down, so come grab some global street eats and support your local legends on the mic.

We’re also back tomorrow (Saturday) from NOON–6PM for more food, fresh pints, and valley sunshine (hopefully).

⚓️ And the best part? We’ll be on this brewery run every second week — same great schedule:
Thursday evenings + Friday lunch ‘til 6PM.

While we’ve been off making new friends through celebration and food today, we’ve also partnered up with old ones.

A good friend and fellow Scallywag named Steve at Smokehouse 93 does some of the best smoked meats in the valley and was gracious enough to provide us with a lovely brisket executed with masterful precision!

So we’re running a special : 93 Barbacoa Taco!

Also wanted to shout out to the boys at Smokehouse who will be joining us in the streets soon, look out for 93 Street Eats and more stellar collaborations in the future!

Laaaaaand Ho!

Come one, come all! Its taco time, and the Galley will be making port in the Asgarden same time as last week:

Friday 9pm-Late
Saturday 11am-3pm / 9pm-Late
Sunday 11am-3pm

If the flag is sailing, we're a cookin!
We got a feature Taco this weekend for our Bar NIGHTS (9pm-Late): Yucatan Style Cochinita Taco (Pork).
We will also have a few of our more regular items if any of you come looking for our Pitas or a Baozi. A limited quantity of Halloumi sticks will be available, but we will also be trying out a Cheese stuffed Pita this weekend so you can still get your cheese fix!
