From the early mornings and busy rushes, to the laughs behind the counter, familiar faces walking through the door, and all the little moments in between.

It’s more than just coffee - it’s something we’ve built, one cup and one memory at a time. So grateful for every person who has been a part of Inuvik Takeaway Coffee 🤍

Today, we honour Orange Shirt Day. 🧡 Every Child Matters.

In recognition of this important day, Inuvik Takeaway Coffee will be closed today

We honour Residential School Survivors, their families and communities, and the children who never returned home.

Today, I’m especially thankful to have my children home with me every day, knowing there was a time when Indigenous children were taken from their families and weren’t allowed to return home for years.

I’m thankful that my children know their parents, when generations before us experienced children returning home no longer recognizing their own parents or families.

Today is a reminder not to take those things for granted — things that should have always been every child’s right.

We remember the children who never made it home, we honour the Survivors who did, and we acknowledge the generations of families who continue to carry the impacts of residential schools.

Every Child Matters. Today and every day. 🧡
