We get so many compliments on these handsome lads, we figure it was time to formally introduce our two longest standing (and furriest and cutest) employees!
🐈⬛ Sel
Short for Selenium Falcon (cause, why not?)
Aka Papa Sel
Sel owns the lodge, and we work for him. He’s been with us since the beginning, and came to us completely by magical wonderful fate.
From day one his work ethic has been top tier, keeping every mouse and critter at bay (literally, have not seen one mouse since his arrival - other than the dead ones on my doorstep - thanks, buddy). But aside from his housekeeping work, his customer service skills are outstanding. Knowing exactly when to make an appearance, you can often find him sauntering around the lodge schmoozing it up with the guests, finding a warm lap to nap on, or friendly hands to caress him. You might get a visit from Sel over at your cabin, or think a small black panther is following you through the brush as you walk around the property. Nowhere is off limits in his mind.
From hunting to cuddling, this cat is all love and all business.
🐈 Foxbait
Aka Foxy
This little Siamese came to us completely by fate as well. Left stranded on the side of the valley road as a tiny kitten, presumably left as fox bait, a Good Samaritan found him and dropped him off at the lodge, not knowing what else to do with him. An unexpected surprise for us but turns out he was exactly what we needed.
Growing up under Papa Sel’s wing and working closely as his apprentice he has blossomed into the sweetest cat and a very hard worker. A little more shy than Sel, Foxbait may take a little longer to warm up to people, but once he’s comfy he will be your best friend and will expect lots of cuddles, so you better be willing to pay.
He loves naps in cozy places, being told he’s cute, and sucking up to guests over in the cabins.
We are so grateful for these little sidekicks, and love to see the joy they bring to our guests’ experience 🖤🩶🐈⬛🐈
