My baby is ONE!!

I can hardly collect my thoughts. The past few days have been spent emotionally reminiscing about this year. About how much everything has changed and how blessed I feel to be Kade’s Mama. I just love him with all my heart!!

He’s walking and talking and dancing and flirting. He’s so determined and kind and loving.

He just loves everyone! Maybe I’m delusional but it feels like he was put on earth to make everyone smile and feel joy.

He’s certainly made us two very happy & grateful parents. 🥹

What a beautiful, magical, life changing year it’s been.

What does Christmas mean to you?

It’s something I’ve been thinking about a lot lately! The past while, Christmas has just been a really busy time of the year.
As a Chef with a catering company, I’ve made thousands of pounds of Turkey and feed many families brunch and dinner.

Truthfully, I’ve just wanted to spend the 25th resting in bed.

Now that we’ve got a baby, I feel like everything changes! The holidays are magical for them and I want to be sure to make it special for Kade while minimizing the stress and pressure to ‘do it all’ The holidays should be enjoyable for everyone (or I’m not interested)

So I ask, what Christmas traditions are your absolute favourites? We’re trying to figure out what ours will be as we celebrate for the first time this year.

My baby is 11months old.

11 months on what would have been my dads 65th birthday. I’ve definitely had a few cries about this today. Grief strikes sometimes so fast and furious it’s hard to keep up.

This little guy is walking around with his walker all the time. I think he’ll walk on his own soon.
He’s also clapping, blowing kisses and has gotten so independent with his eating. Just today he smacked a whole spoonful of yogurt right in his eye and all down his cheek. Lovely!

He recently started giving unprompted hugs and kisses. Truthfully, I didn’t know he could melt my heart more than he already does but damn, he gives me a hug and kiss and I’m done!

I believe that my dad and grandparents are watching him grow and looking out for him but I do wish I could see their smiles and share in their joy.

OMG these pics just keep getting harder and harder to take because Kade does not sit still!

8 teeth, standing on his own for a few seconds at a time, mild obsession with all the kitchen tools and emptying out anything that he can reach in the pantry.

He gives kisses all the time (probably my favourite thing) waves goodbye, gives a high-five and flirts with anyone who will pay attention. He’s singing and dancing and is just a lot of fun overall.

I’m 9 months old, don’t ask me to sit still!!

This is the ongoing theme lately. Kade is just so curious about everything he’s never still and nothing is safe from his destruction.

He has 7 teeth, eats everything (especially anything that Mama or Dada are eating) and his facial expressions are priceless.

Our morning routine has possibly become my fav. All the snuggles and kisses before brushing our teeth and heading downstairs to dance and eat breakfast. It’s perfection.

Mama is a little sad that we have an egg and tree nut allergy but his sweetness, personality and giggles make everything.

Time could definitely slow down and we wouldn’t be sad about it.

Baby Kade was still growing inside me and I was finishing up filming For . So wild!
This year, we’re headed to Sauble Beach for The Bad Socks annual Baseball Cottage weekend with an 8 month old baby.

We are LOVING this age!
Kade has gotten so curious about everything and while he literally will not sit still unless he’s sleeping, it’s so fun to watch him explore and learn.

He’s got 5 teeth, countless expressions and LOVES food. Peaches 🍑 are a favourite atm and he always wants our food over his.

He’ll give you a high-five and a kiss and (half the time) a wave goodbye. He’ll also pull himself to standing on anything taller than he is.

Poor kid has had a cold and Covid (that was intense) but still had smiles through it all.
