Today marks Elyse's 4 Year Hooliganniversary. We think it goes without saying that Elyse embodies everything Hearty Hooligan and is essentially our mascot!

They bring amazing energy into the restaurant, are funny as hell, and want to make sure everyone who sits down at the Hooligan has a quality experience.

Whether they're sporting a blue, green or orange Mohawk, their style is always fire🔥

Thanks so much for all you contribute to the Hooligan, the place wouldn't be the same without you!

Liam: Elyse is the absolute sweetest and is SO hardworking when it comes to the Hooligan, theyre amazing at keeping track of all of the small little things that makes The Hearty Hooligan the wonderful place it is, making sure customers feel their most welcome when theyre visiting and putting in the effort to make The Hearty Hooligan feel like the home it is with their AMAZING drag performances and just being super fun to chat with about anything!!

Jen: Elyse is one of my favourite people to work with and I’m so grateful to call them my friend. Elyse has an incredible sense of humour, they’re a karaoke superstar, they have an amazing style and have performed some of the most creative drag sets I’ve ever seen! They’re thoughtful, kind, a badass mom, biker and an amazing cook. I always appreciate the home cooked meals they pack for me! 🖤 Love you, Elyse!

James: Elyse is aggressively compassionate while also never afraid to speak their mind, an incredible artistic jack of all trades, and effortlessly one of the funniest people I know. They don't shy away from doing hard things, and always put the work in. I appreciate them so much and it warms my shrivelled black heart watching them succeed.

Today we celebrate Carly's Hooliganniversary! Carly has been a long time member of the Hooligan family and her kitchen skills are second to none. She regularly volunteers at Frog Hollow Animal Sanctuary and is a huge animal lover!!

Staicha: When she started here I got more than a right hand to run the kitchen, I got a best friend and true partner in crime who went through all of the ups and downs with me. She's my comfort through all the hard times, and the person I celebrate with the hardest through the good times.

Maddy: Carly has such a giant heart - she’s kind and thoughtful and constantly inspires me to be more giving with all her work she does with sanctuaries - always love learning what she’s into and finding out what con she’s going to next ! ✨

James: She is my favourite plaid-clad farmer, fandom fanatic, Celine fiend horse girl. No one can cry to Cher like Carly.

Jen: Carly is one the the sweetest, most thoughtful people I’ve ever met! She has a great sense of humour and is the coolest farm girl. You should see how well she drives a tractor! We share a love of the sound of music, puzzles and all things involving rescue animals 🖤

Liam: Carly is such a sweet, lovely, awesome, funny, and amazing person to be around. She's super considerate of all the people around her, she's extremely reassuring, and just overall super fu***ng funny and I love our sarcastic convos and watching our gen z and millennial worlds collide with eachother whenever we have differing perspectives on things. Shes also just extremely inspiring with her dedication to animals and giving back to the community where it's needed. 🩵💜🐴

Colleen: It's been really nice getting to know and work with her during my time here. Her work ethic, kindness and all that she does for animal welfare is really an inspiration. It's also cool that she appreciates a good Shirley Temple too 💛
