As Nova Scotia’s only AVPN-certified pizzeria, it means so much to have one of the world’s best pizzaioli visit us on his first trip to Nova Scotia. Sharing our passion for authentic Neapolitan pizza with someone who has dedicated his life to the craft was truly special - and we’re pretty happy to have earned the thumbs-up!

You can already tell the passion runs in the family. ❤️ Every child who visits Trattoria Vesso gets their own ball of pizza dough to play with, and it looks like we may have met a future world champion in the making.

Founded in Naples, Italy, AVPN (Associazione Verace Pizza Napoletana) is the world’s leading authority on authentic Neapolitan pizza. The opening of its Canadian training school marks an important milestone for the pizza industry and for everyone dedicated to preserving this incredible tradition.

We’re honoured to join fellow AVPN members, certified pizzaioli, industry leaders, and friends from Italy as we celebrate this exciting new chapter for authentic Neapolitan pizza in Canada.
