A special gathering in Napoli for the 2026 Vera Pizza Napoletana Champion. 🇮🇹🍕😎✌️

Vesso catching up with Antonio Pace, President of AVPN Napoli; Peppe Miele, President of VPN Americas; Stefano Auricchio, General Manager of AVPN; and Eddie Giardina, AVPN pizzaiolo and instructor at the AVPN School in Los Angeles - colleagues and also friendships brought together by a shared love and respect for true Neapolitan pizza.

We get together at different AVPN events throughout the year, but there’s something special about being together here in Napoli, where it all began.

AVPN is about so much more than pizza. It’s about protecting the tradition, sharing knowledge and keeping the craft alive for the next generation — while being part of a pizza community that reaches around the world.

The Art of the Neapolitan Pizzaiuolo is recognized by UNESCO as Intangible Cultural Heritage, and we’re incredibly proud to be part of a community that respects and carries that tradition forward.

What an incredible honour to welcome Mirko D’Agata, the 2026 World Champion Pizzaiolo, and his family to Trattoria Vesso! 🍕🏆

As Nova Scotia’s only AVPN-certified pizzeria, it means so much to have one of the world’s best pizzaioli visit us on his first trip to Nova Scotia. Sharing our passion for authentic Neapolitan pizza with someone who has dedicated his life to the craft was truly special - and we’re pretty happy to have earned the thumbs-up!

You can already tell the passion runs in the family. ❤️ Every child who visits Trattoria Vesso gets their own ball of pizza dough to play with, and it looks like we may have met a future world champion in the making.
